Proof US Gov are using al qaeda tapes to scare not inform.

I bet they bloody well do want an investigation after this rolled out of the secret box.... they had the tape for years, and yet released it as fresh from the al qaeda factory... now some one is going to have to carry the stinky can on this one, and I hope its bush and his cronies.

To do this to your own people to keep them scared and in fear is beyond belief! BUT, as ATS CT'ers have said, these tapes ar rolled out as and when Bush needs a few more votes on the hill...

Hope some careers end for this.

One would assume that the government, with all of it's resources, could do a better cover up job.

It shocks me everytime when something like this gets uncovered. Not because I can't believe it happened, but rather, I can't believe how badly the government runs propaganda.

You face a problem: they dont care if this stuff gets known, they dont care at all! Those taps are now of no importance to them. They ran it till closing time and now that closing time is getting close, WHO CARES?! Honestly, how much attention does the media truely give to the tapes? VERY, VERY, VERY little as you can see theres no point in it, they have the faceless boogyman now, why do they need Osama?

This is something I gotta admit I didnt think about.

They have always had these tapes.. and simply choose when to release them..


It fits more than beleiving alqaeda happen to make tapes, and release them right around election time, effectivley helping there enemy..

I read the article four times, and the best I can come up with is that the administration sat on the tape for a while before releasing it. Not saying everyone's wrong, but I can't see how this tape fits in with the title of this thread as 'proof'...

Prison planet isn't a reliable source. But if you believe in all those conspiracy theories then I guess you can live in your twisted view of the world.

The fact that the government sat on this tape for ages and then we are told al Q has relased it as a "new" tape(just before the election,again) should make anyone worried by the methods and motives of the neo cons.
And the footage was released to the BBC by the US intell community.It was used in "the road to guantanamo",although it was spun differently.
What part of the above did the "unreliable"Prison planet get wrong?
Is it ok for the government to re hash old footage as new,and released by al Q in order to keep their fear mechanisms sharp?

Tapes are made as needs arises.

US already has Bin Laden and Zawaheri and others in its custody.

All these guys were caught in first weeks of the Afghanistan campaign.

Bin Laden and others were captured after fall of Kabul in November 2001.

Bin Laden's first tape was genuine in which he denied that
he had anything to do with 9/11.

Later, within few weeks, we see tapes coming forward in which
he is seen or heard admitting to 9/11 attacks.

Then there are tapes claiming responsibilities for the
major terror attacks around the world.

It is not too difficult in today's world of CGI to create
graphics and sounds that are so realistic that most people cannot tell them as fake.

In the movie Gladiator, Oliver Deed died during filming,
and his part was done using Computer Generated Images.
If you watch the film, you will not be able to tell the difference
between the real actor footage of the actor from the one that is a graphic.

It is no surprise that even the experts now suspect the
authenticity of these co called latest "message" from "extremist
muslims" who are out to destroy "democracy asd freedom".

No one, except the government, seriously believes that official story.
