UN tells US to compromise with Hezbollah

President Bush has put Hezbollah on a list of terrorist organisations.

Europeans disagree with President Bush and claim that Hezbollah is a resistence movement.

And now, the United Nations has told the Bush administration to start talking with Hezbollah. Bush is encouraged to negotiate with Nasrallah.

Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah thinks he is the new Robin Hood, handing out cash to muslims, christians, jews, and anyone who asks him.

On CNN today, there was a report from Hala Gorani in Beirut which had a Christian female doctor came and registered her name for help with Hezbollah workers. She got 12000 dollars in cash.

Where do these dudes get the money from?

They are a resistance movement, it's simple when you see past the propaganda.

If Israel was occupying Lebanon, Hezbollah is a resistance movement, when at peace and Israel is not inside the boarders of Lebanon.. then how are they a resistance? What do they resist? They would be an economic/political/walfare party if they did not have their own military. I agree they are not terrorist in the sense Hammas is or the PLO, how ever being a military kidnappings are acts of war. Also the UN does not push us around. Simple fact there.

The UN tells the U.S. to compromise, or was it the editor's opinion? Read the freaking article.

And the Europeans refuse to fund the Hezbollah, they never consider it resistance group.

The only reason the European is not recognizing Hezbollah is because Bush has tagged them terrorist organization in behave of Israel.

They are a resistant group and that is nothing that any country including the US is going to be able to about it.

With all the resentment against Israel and its tactics backed by the US they are stronger now than ever.

Am I missing something? The original linked post was an opinion piece correct?

And the Europeans branded Hezbollah a terrorist organization in March 2005:

The European Parliament branded Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement a “terrorist” group yesterday and urged European Union ministers to take action against the organization.
