Astronaut Commits Suicide

When I went to Google News search, the two other
articles about this astronaut's death make no mention
of suicide... and infer he died from an illness ??

Interesting that his death happened a few days
after the SS Discovery's return.

Astronaut Brady's Death Stuns Area

Astronaut Charles E. Brady, formerly of Robbins, is dead at 54.


His home town is in mourning over the loss of one of its most illustrious sons: an Eagle Scout, an athlete, a doctor, a Blue Angel, and a space traveler. A huge mural depicting Brady and the Space Shuttle Columbia overlooks the railroad across from the Old Elise Depot and the town hall.

Now the town is puzzled and saddened by reports of the circumstances of his death.

According to Chuck McCarty, a dispatcher with the Sheriff's Office in San Juan County, Wash., Brady died of apparently self-inflicted wounds.

Some people were discussing this in another forum.

From the sounds of it, he was becoming mentally unstable. However, as is always the case, you never really know, do you?

OK.........that's info about an incident discovered on July 23rd !

do you have further info., follow-up articles...???

? are we supposed to research the autopsy report or what?
? was there an inquiry even begun?

its just a questionable death by a man who ran amok in the woods
or is there more???
