Well according to a post, Springer is a fan of Steve Buscemi (bear with me now).

Carbon has been the answer to a past question,the next clue you see is actually the next question after you answer carbon,and if you keep answering you get back to the most recent question. It's a loophole. whenever you input the answer to a previous question,you go back to the question after that.

Actually, I couldn't agree more. At this point, I think most of the "obvious" solutions have already been tried.

After thinking about what one of the admin's said in chat...i think it was hunt.... something about we are going fast but "we haven't seen anything yet"...

Its impossible to narrow anything down that way in this game.

I wish it displayed "you're getting warmer" messages or something.

lol. I think HUNT said the "you haven't seen anything yet" thing when somebody told him how impressed he was with the level of sophistication of the puzzle. But then Springer also said that the next questions would have us wishing that they were as easy as putting the link on different websites, when somebody complained about it.

Well we've blown through them remarkably fast until now.

my thinking is that it CAN be narrowed down...

previous questions have had a _____ in the text to indicate finishing a phrase.

i see no reason why numbers are involved in this answer (unless you do?)

the "?" would mean that the text is direct in some manner. aka no long string of indicators needed to reach the answer.



We still have to stick to the patterns of the previous Q & A's. Everything has been straightforward (although clever and tricky).
