I wouldn't say its the "best" channel ever.... they seem to cancel a lot of promising shows. One show Im glad they got rid of however was Lexx.. Man that show was weird.

At one time, Sci Fi showed all of my favorite shows as a kid...(and yes, now I'd say many of them sucked, but I liked them then, ok)

Bionic Man
Dark Shadows (both versions, only got into them as an adult, before my time)
Battlestar Galactica
Automan
Manimal
Man from Atlantis
Phoenix
Otherworld
The Wiz
(Show where Parker Stevenson was a rich genius...can't remember the name)
Airwolf
Knight Rider
Street Hawk
Mantis
Covington Cross
Powers of Mathew Starr

and so many others....

They never did show Mr. Merlin though, that was my favorite....

Mr Merlin

Those are the ones I can remember I actually really liked the man from Atlantis, and I think I liked the theme too, cant remember...just a feeling.

And the Bionic Man holds a special place in my families heart because for the duration of my kinder years at ny first school I would not answer to any name during the roll call apart from Steve Austin is that classic or what.......

Delusions of grandeur from that age...

Bionic Man - Yes (and Bionic Woman !! Lindsey Wagner..wow)
Dark Shadows - No (didn't really get into it)
Battlestar Galactica - Yes (hated Daggit though!)
Automan - Yes (cool Tron-like effects if I remember correct)
Manimal - Yes (Simon rules!)
Man from Atlantis - Yes (He sucked on Dallas)
Phoenix - No
Otherworld - Yes
The Wiz - Vaguely
(Show where Parker Stevenson was a rich genius...can't remember the name)
Airwolf - Yes (Blue Thunder was a rip-off of this in my opinion)
Knight Rider - Yes, Michael.

Street Hawk - No
Mantis - Yes
Covington Cross - No
Powers of Mathew Starr - Faintly remember

What about;
Tales of the Gold Monkey (Indiana Jones like)
Buck Rogers (Hated Twikkie..what's with cute sidekicks?)
Quantum Leap
Alien Nation
Amazing Stories (Spielberg I think)
Greatest American Hero (Get with the Scenario Counselor!!)
There was also a british show I loved called Tomorrow People. Young kids with psi powers. Great show.

Ha ha ha mainly when lifting objects....

My mother thought I was constipated as a child....

And yeah Darklanser..

I loved "The Tales of the Gold monkey" and I still have a thing for Lidsey Wagner as the Bionic Woman...

Buck Rogers was ok I liked his fighter ship but was pissed off when I bought the model and it had a bar across the front pointy bits of the ship....I later hacksawed it off and filed them up...ha ha

My make believe missions had to look authentic I even painted all my Space 1999 Eagles white cause when you bought them they were green.....what was that all about...?
