Or what about the great Alar hoax? That was a total fabrication completed with faked 'scientific studies' all designed as a money making scheme for environmental groups.

9/11 wasnt really a hoax imo, since it actually happened. it was the government trying to make it a reason to get al quieda and stuff. in england we had a program on TV, where a group of guys made an RC ufo and flew it over a pub full of UFO spotters at a UFO convention thing. they made it from a big balloon shaped like a UFO and some fans basically. it was pretty good. im not really sure which is the BEST hoax, but i have my favourites. lockness, the one i mentioned above, and some others i cant remember XD

The Patterson film.

Roswell

Bermuda Triangle

Philadelphia Experiment

The Kerry for President campaign

The environmental industry

There is a very long list of great hoaxes. Some intentional, some maintained only by the gullibility of the general public.

Even if you totally believe the official story, you can't deny that there are a lot of unexplained anomalies.

Unexplained anomalies pop up in any big event like that. The JFK assassination was the worst. The more you get into the tiny details, the more it seems like some kind of weird stage play, with so many coincidences and odd things happening that you feel there MUST be something more to it.

As dumb as it is, I wonder if this might sometimes be a "fingerprint" of time traveler intervention. The more weird coincidences there are, the more the event is tampered with by people or things outside our normal reality. Just a whimsical, unprovable notion. Maybe an idea for a book or a movie.

Favorite hoax? The "resurrection" of "Jesus Christ." Definitely a lot of hoopla over that one.
