What's this?? Anything?

I apologise about not posting a link as such but im not sure how to post a picture on here.

Any ideas what these are? i presume something to do with oil? The 8 surrounding runways also caught my eye. So much stuff in the middle of nowhere!!

This has been discussed before I think. Remember seeing them in the US on Google Earth some time back. Looked kind of freaky at first I agree

It appears to be a fractal pattern of some sort. If this was on Mars, that would be the end of speculation.

Nothing fantastical. Irrigation for some sort of farming.

i saw those exact same ones when i was messing about on it

but i was more interested that if you go left a bit and up a bit, there is a sort of small town and a massive smoke cloude that can be seen when you zoom quite far out

I know what you mean.. Just presumed that they were oil drilling stations and the excess gas was being burned off??

The fact that there are 8-9 runways in such a small area seemed odd to me.. still don't quite get that!
