.S. and Canadian authorities said on Wednesday they had cracked an international child pornography network that in some cases transmitted molestations live over the Internet.

"These are the worst imaginable forms of child pornography," said U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, adding that one case involved the abuse of a toddler less than 18 month old.

Twenty-seven people from nine U.S. states and Canada, Australia and Britain, are charged with possession, receipt, distribution and manufacture of child pornography in connection with the case, authorities said.

Twenty-six of the suspects have been arrested and one is still at large.

I saw an interview with an investigator who said some of those arrested were active duty military and "counselors".

Only 26 arrested.
How many will be convicted?
How many will die or 'suicide' before a trial can expose the thousands of others?
Military and councilors are far below the social and power status of the worst of them.
To those of us who have sort and failed to find justice, these "charged paedophile" reports ,are a spit in the face, as the convictions never end up being representative of the numbers and 'social standing' of those actually involved. They just remind us they can and do get away with it.

As in Brussles, it's only ever the 'grunts' that are sacrificed to take the heat off those laughing at us all.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If you molest a child you should be put to death.

I feel if you desire to rape children or anyone for that matter you don't deserve to exist.

Well, they molested some kids/toddlers, whatever word you want to use, yeah I guess they should be put in prison, with a life sentence.


I don't know what I should say really, I don't support the death penalty for anyone, so that's why I say the life sentence, oh and no bail, bail is, in my opinion bribery to the state.

Dont have to give the death penalty, just put them in the General Population once they get to prison. Child molesters and pedo's are at the bottom of the social ladder in jails. They will get what they deserve and it wont cost taxpayers a dime in appeals.

Your right, so I think they should be put in a special ward, or maybe they could just make a whole prison for the countries population of sex offendors of all kinds.

I completely agree with Lysergic, paedophiles should not be allowed to exist. They are predators and no matter how long they serve in prison their 'kicks' will remain the same.
I think a short term in prison should be followed by the death penalty.
That would allow them to experience to a certain degree the pain, suffering and humiliation they have inflicted on innocent children.

However in reality they will serve their time and then their disgusting, inhumane impulses will continue to reign.
There should be no room on the planet for such creatures.

I'd just like to clarify my stand on this isue, I think they should go to prison, but not let be killed or hurt badly.

Now, on a more wider scope, I think they should go to prison because they molested, had sex without the person consenting.

If this was a case of say a 12 year old who was consenting, than my view would be totally different, but this is'nt the place to discuss that, anyways just wanted to make my view clear.

I think they should have as much protection as their victims had (and then be put to death).

I dont think a 12 year old is emotionally competent to give consent.
A 12 year old may agree to many things in exchange for some affection or love. A paedophile gives nothing but takes so much.
If we expect a child to take responsibility for such decisions at 12 then its a sad & bad world.
Adults are supposed to protect children until children become adults themselves and are then able to take responsibility for their actions and decisions.
A 12 year old is a child.

The pedo in Edmonton (from where the police around the world were able to make more arrests) only got 3 and half years. His sentenced was so little because he was cooperative :shk:.

I'm curious, why is it that this news bit that has you "this sickened", as opposed to all the child porn that has been around since the days when film came into existence? Were you not sickened about child porn before this bust? Are you not sickened about child porn that is NOT in the news?

Every day I get my grand-daughter off to school I am sickened in my soul becuase of perverts such as this could swipe one of any number of kids from her school as they go home (I take and meet mine at the bus stop). It doens't sicken me only when it hits the news.

What we, the sickened observers of such horrific tragedies need to do is swarm our municipal, provincial, state and federal representatives offices and demand that the existing legislation concerning the treatment of pedophiles, child pornographers, rapists etc. not only be re-examined but be reformed to incorporate longer, and tougher sentencing for such crimes.

We also need more prisoner and victim advocates, the Corrections department is vastly underfunded and I don't think that Captial Punishment for such crimes is necessary, when the sick bastards could be put through a life-long incarceration, without parole and with hard labour(an added bonus for all those inmates not looking to co-operate with investigators).

Oh man, that was hilarious, funniest thing I've read today.

I don't know about where you are, but here in the U.S., the corrections department is way overlyfunded.

They take money mean to go to the education system, and build three new prisons when they end up only needing one new one.

Anyways, this post is off topic, so to go back on topic, I agree with putting them in prison, if not for the crime, for being stupid enough as to actually document/transmit the acts.
Or not move to a country where this kind of thing is legal(ok so it's not legal anywhere to have relations with infants) and get permanent citizenship.

Didn't happen, the lacky who housed these imprisoned sex slaves got done and the whole issue went away. One of the two rescued girls was dragged out to face the media and 'support' their 'spin' that these things couldn't be 'proven' against those powerfull accused people.

We got it from the surviver, and everyone WANTED to believe, that those who command power and respect, only ever get falsely accused.

So what about the girl who didn't talk, and those tens of thousands of mature survivers who rallied to show they knew it was true?

It was nothing more than advertizing that they were still untouchable, like the last Pope who reinstated 8 priests who'd been sacked in Australia for paedophilia.

Time and time again, every chance to prove and admit the main players include internationally 'respected' people, those very people use the positions to make the 'noise' go away.

One of the reasons it's so hard to rally people, is that many otherwise good people have found themselves at these child sex parties, thinking they were just attending a normal gathering, the only 'outsider' among credible people and 'friends', who then blackmail them for support. When they see what they do to children, they will not risk the same being done to their own.

Yes it sickens me and it has since I was four, when I used in this form of blackmail.
