Takashi Nagase a WW 2 Officer is lobbying the Thailand Goverment for the Burma Railway to become a World Heritage site.

Takashi Nagase was a interpreter during interrogations of allied prisoners.

Also there was 60,000 POWs who worked on the more than 400km line.The Allies faced a ruthless Japanese tropps also d.isease and malnutrition

Lets hope this site does become a World Listing Site

I agree with you thet the Burma Railway should become a World Heritage Site.

It would be a fitting reward for all the Blood and Sweat put in by the forced Labour who built the Railway under terrible conditions during the last World War.

Many of those involved in its construction are now sadly dead and it would be a lasting tribute for the families of those involved.
