America is addicted to oil, which is often imported from unstable parts of the world. The best way to break this addiction is through
technology
It would take a hell of alot of technology to either create a new fuel or run on a different fuel.
Is it possible that George Bush's speech heralded the true beginning of the Rise of the NWO?
His words were cryptic, suggesting we either currently have technology or are working on it. He also suggests something to do with hybrids
(human/animal are mentioned but wouldn't a human + lizard = a Reptoid?)
and the words "We must rally the world"
Is it a case of the end is nigh, or an idiot being dumb.

Well, maybe he was referring to a Stirling engine or perhaps the powers that be have decided
to uncover some of these inventions?
Maybe they'll let us know in the near future.
I for one would love to see some development in that area, since this far it has been all talk, no show.

LOL! I forgot about that very bizarre statement! At least he wasn't talking about a human/Honda Civic hybrid.

He was calling for legislation to ban all sorts of Genetic tampering, including Cloning and " Human/Animal Hybrids". Odd... I guess they won't be
renewing Manimal for another season...

LMAO!
That article was interesting count. I didn't read it all cos its quite late here and I got college 2mro!
I don't see the reasoning behind his ban on hybrid making when people still haven't even gotten use to the idea of cloning humans yet. Maybe Bush
inadvertently let slip a big secret...

Let's not misqoute him on it and allow the debunkers a field day to tear at others. This is the original qoute:-
We must also change how we power our automobiles. We will increase our research in better batteries for hybrid and electric cars, and in
pollution-free cars that run on hydrogen. We'll also fund additional research in cutting-edge methods of producing ethanol, not just from corn, but
from wood chips and stalks, or switch grass. Our goal is to make this new kind of ethanol practical and competitive within six years.
Source:- www.whitehouse.gov...
He meant hybrid as in hybrids of current engine models accepting alternative energy sources..
It is not as difficult as he presumed it to be if indeed he, a scion of oil men and surrounded by oil men who got rich by oil, decides to seriously
switch to alternative energy sources. The technology is already in place to switch from carbon based energy sources to cleaner electromagnetic
sources. All that is required is to cut out the DIA's and oil interest groups' giggle deception debunking teams,
1. seriously attempts to provide funding in colleges for research,
2. gainsway the military - the stable and lucrative volume buyer most industrialists determine as an indicator for their production lines, to make
that switch
3. A realistic timeframe for industrialist to re-tool their factories for the switch.
One facinating expect of the oil industry is that Exxon Mobil just posted a 36 billion dollars profit - the largest profit by a single corporation in
the world! They sure aint gonna give up those profits and future ones without a fight, more so when US imports a whooping 75% of its oil needs from
the middle east.
Edit: Seems strange that he is still talking about carbon based energy source and even funding it with regards to automobiles in his speech. Didnt
this oil crisis taught him enough NOT to rely on carbon based energy sources for they are limited? Another disaster-in-waiting for some future
president?

I think the President was pretty clear about what he meant regarding energy.
So tonight, I announce the Advanced Energy Initiative -- a 22-percent increase in clean-energy research -- at the Department of Energy, to push
for breakthroughs in two vital areas. To change how we power our homes and offices, we will invest more in zero-emission coal-fired plants,
revolutionary solar and wind technologies, and clean, safe nuclear energy. (Applause.)
(Applause.)

SeekerofTruth101,
This is what he said about hybrids.
www.whitehouse.gov...
A hopeful society has institutions of science and medicine that do not cut ethical corners, and that recognize the matchless value of every life.
Tonight I ask you to pass legislation to prohibit the most egregious abuses of medical research: human cloning in all its forms, creating or
implanting embryos for experiments, creating human-animal hybrids, and buying, selling, or patenting human embryos. Human life is a gift from our
Creator -- and that gift should never be discarded, devalued or put up for sale. (Applause.)

Thanks shaman.
With regards to the second hybrid - 'human-animal hybrids', i do hear rumours of lonely sheepmen up on the mountains with their
sheeps.....hehe...
But seriously, if such hybrids are of benefits to mankind, stopping it only limits our evolution and even mortality or health. Science should never be
limited, but ultimately, such decisions should best be left to mankind to decide and not on the lips of one man or a group of men to determine
our eventual evolution. Lets hear the other sides first from comming to a decision. I am sure millions of medical patients or their representatives
would like to have a say on this issue.
Its easy to talk about being 'ethical'. The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Just think, who needs advance science help more? Each of us
are not born out of a rock and have parents and older folks. Dare we deny them the advancement of sciences when we have the capability to heal them
and call our denial 'ethical'? Simply put - a means to get rid of old coons, they can no longer provide to society even though they had provided
well in the productive periods of their youth? Their experiences and knowledge shut up forever? A means to rid our planet of folks so as to keep
population under control under the banner of 'ethics'? Is this our so called 'ethical' society becoming soon?
Sorry for being out of topic, cos this second 'hybrid' bares no relevance to UFO or aliens for there are no conclusive information or evidences
currently available, unless we speculate that cloning is medical procedure learnt from advance non-earth beings.

What???? He mentions the creator when they are taking GOD out of everything governmental? HYPOCRITE! I say clone away, we need the medical research
capability. If we weren't meant to do it, it wouldn't be possible.
And about the technology for cleaner energy, there have been plans for engines that run on water that the auto companies and oil companies bought for
millions from their inventors. BIG OIL has us right where they want us....."record profits......" remember yesterday's news, people?

Not really, JackofBlades, the target that the President set is acheivable by 2025. A simple increase in fuel efficency of all cars and light trucks of
2.7mpg would reduce the need for the majority of the oil imported from the middle east (currently approx 5.2 million barrels per day).
The US also has massive coal reserves which would supply electrical power to the country for many years to come.
The president has finally realised that the country's rampant energy use is forcing the US into a foregin policy that is only going to end in defeat
for the US, and quite possibly the world.
What is interesting is that 2025 is the time at which most experts agree we will have extracted the maximum amount of oil from the earth and global
production of oil based products will begin to slow.
In order for the US to avoid a massive collapse of its economy - when everyone with shares in a manufacturing company that is relient on oil sells
their shares, causing a stock market crash - it must move large parts of its manufacturing and logistical infrastructure to none oil based energy
sources. This has the added bonus of keeping the domestic oil supply available for the US military, which is dependant on oil.
All of this can be acheived without technology backward engineered from the star trek spaceship that crashed in New Mexico.
The down side of course is that coal fired power stations are vastly more costly in terms of environmental effect. The Pollution caused by burning
millions of tonnes of coal will effect the environment, possibly in an adverse manner.
