Blackouts a terrorist thing?

why do some ATS members think that the recents blackouts in Italy and New York were done by terrorists?

O.K a good thought maybe but think about it terrorists and blackouts just dont mix cos its not their style.

Why arent you at the aa?

I thought we had a deal..

To the topic.. Maybe they were / are.. terrorist can hack comps also..

Many of the questions raised regarding these strange events would be silenced if a more plausible answer was given.

The excuses we are given are the same kind of things that drive conspiracy theories. A single tree causing country wide blackouts is like saying UFOs are swamp gas and JFK's assassination was the result of one crazy man.

If they didn't want people with the ability to think to question what happened, they would have made a far more likely excuse for it, such as terrorist activity.

Yeah but only people with half a brain will believe this answer, terrorists nowadays kill.

I read somewhere, something that was supposedly that latest "official information" about the us/canada black out. Apparently, a tree feel on some line, and caused a chain reaction. Yeah right. This is just too dumb. Sorry if you do, but I don't believe that.

And I think Al Quaida actually CLAIMED it was them who did it...So, who knows..

But on the other hand, if the US gov. knew it was done by terrorists, why not use that to strike on another country that they don't like? Wouldn't it be a perfect excuse? Aren't they just WAITING for somehting like that to happen? And why didn't seize that opportunity?

So many questions...

Terrorism had nothing to do with it. If some terrorist group was really responsible, like al-quaida or some other group you would hear it on the news 24/7.

You would see Bush and Co. talking about how we need some new law to protect us from this and that.

My opinion. There is a coverup of what really caused the blackout. I think the governmet was involved in it somehow. Maybe it was a test of some kind. Who knows.

Seriously, the other day I was talking about that with a collegue at work, and we were talking about the cause they speculated it could be, and at one time I said :
"What's next? Tomorrow, they'll blame it on the aliens?"

Well you never know if they have no hard proof they can pin it on alien radio waves or something or UFO interference.
