Title explains all really, I just would like to know how many different colours you go through and how many Applauses you need to get to each one.

EDIT:

P.S. And colours is spelt like that here in England, I haven't made a spelling error - for once..

Oh got a few to go then

Come on, spill the beans! There's no such number as eleventy million - unless your George!

There is a three or four colour range that goes from grey to amber, you are already amber (nice work!
)...

The exact number of applauds required to change colours varies by the next level in the queue. The formula for this computation is AboveTopSecret and thereby would cost your life to reveal.

You'd have to kill me right? So I guess Orange is for Mods, but how do you get a bright red bar?

It just keeps getting redder and redder until it goes black like Valhall's.

J/K... More Staff or Council Applause for your quality posts will get that bar shiny and red (mmmm, think Ferrari). ATS is a content driven site, and those that contribute to that are rewarded.

Bar Monkeys, not just for "I'll have another" anymore...

Sounds very Hobbitty to me...

I'm sure it is a lot. I've been lavished with consistent praise- I even get chocolates delivered to my home- for my postings and I am still merely a bruised purple. When the color really depresses me, I just break open one of those cherry filled chocolates and smear red on the bar on my computer screen. Makes me feel better, anyway....

What really concerns me, however, is the length of my bar... I'm thinkin' about seeing a physician for that one.

Yeah, I do know that we took the "u"s out, which begs another question...why can so few people here get a joke?

loam your line is a really nice pinky color while mine has a ways to go yet -- I am in that pinkish grey range
I can see I have lots of work to do still - and here I was feeling all proud of my pinkish grey colour. (I spelled it both ways so everyone would be happy
)

Every 5 applauds the colour goes up a shade. The more you get the redder the bar becomes. I think that's how it works. The length of the bar is representative of the amount of post you have on this site, but the bar only goes up to around 3500.

It's not the length of the bar that's important...

At least, that's what I keep getting told.

Le sigh.

It's more like 50 and less like 5 applauds ruddies your bar.

RE: the legnth of the bar... If you hold your cursor over anyone's "bar" a little box with a number in it will appear, this represents the number of posts that member has made.
