Now to figure out a way to keep from losing Council staff to moderator duty. We're getting picked clean over here.

Welcome you new great Super Duper Moderators.. All I can suggest is don't allow Members threads to simply ëvaporate without ensuring they know why and by whom.. yes?

I would hope so...for every member of this site.

Good to see that the Council maturation has produced full-fledged staff/moderator positions.

Congratulations to those who have moved from their Council positions into such moderator slots.

And a well deserved nod to Gazrok and others for their moderator positions to supers. Great stuff. Congratulations.

I've had a few people ask, so I thought I would give a little insight into the first 24 hours or so of a new moderator.

First it was stocking the beer fridge, bar and polishing glasses.

Then it was the fresh coffee and donuts... No big deal you say? There's ATS Staff in every darn time zone! Tired monkey.

The goldfish were no big deal, I like sushi... Even a "wiggle roll."

I polished the brass, and shined every last one of Thomas Crowne's jack boots (he has a pair for each and every forum ).

I've been through a few initiations in my day... So riding the goat was no big deal, but the lame blue tie and riding crop was just... Too much.



N00B Mod Monkeys, not just for "thank you sir, may I have another" anymore...

Mirthful Me, I just noticed your modship, and I can't overemphasize how thrilled I am.

Frankly, my initial response was, and I quote: "About damn time!"

Anyone who is a fan of your unique and commendable approach to ATS -- and there are many -- will no doubt share my enthusiasm at the thought that we now have our favorite monkey at the controls.

Sorry to dance around like a monkey myself, but this really does make my day. And considering what day this is, that means something.

Major congratulations to both yourself and ATS for having you on the moderator team.
