as for the lines that can be perceived, but seem to 'move away' as we attempt to focus on them, i always accepted that i was able to see the blood vessels within my own eye. these are stationary, i mean to say they do not change their shape, but move with movement of the eye, are mostly unobtrusive and seem consistent with the retinal vessels one might see within the eye (eerrr, sans the disorder the image points out, of course) under the correct conditions, for example- a bright sky, or light colored wall- most anyone can see them as gray or clear lines 'floating' somewhere within the line of vision. i've always wanted to 'draw out' a picture of the shapes of the 'lines' and have my eye doctor take a photo of the blood vessels in my eye to confirm this, but i haven't had any very serious eye problems that would justify doing so... and i've NO IDEA how much that would cost....

among eye professionals, seeing 'white sparkles' seems to be fairly common as well- especially when looking into a bright sky (it often becomes quite irritating to me when i'm driving during the day).... this site has a 'question and answer' area for others that are experiencing the same thing. seems it is nothing to be overly concerned about unless it dramatically increases or begins to affect normal vision. then it could be an indication of a serious eye concern, and should be checked by a doctor.

now i'm not discounting seeing actual auras around people or animals, but is it possible that after staring at an object or person long enough, this image is still present in the eye, 'burned into the rods and cones' as someone else put it? i've always called these 'light shadows' although i have no idea of the appropriate terminology. anything stared at long enough will still appear (as color) when we look away to a blank surface, we can still 'see' the image or silhouette of the image for some time afterward. as the eyes bounce around and attempt to 'stay focused' on a person, wouldn't it be possible to recreate the same effect (only, all around them as our eyes shift, if we do not look away)? if the person were removed from in front of the white wall (after staring at them for a period of time), the 'ghost' or residual image would still be there- and i don't believe that the person 'left their energy' where they were standing. to test this, just look at another blank wall. it's still there, within the eye, and will be for several minutes.

i do believe there are people with heightened sensitivity to the energy of others, and that this ability can be honed and perfected to 'see' differently, 'trying' is the first step in learning to recognize when you are 'seeing an actual aura' or witnessing another 'trick of the eye'. i wouldn't stop trying just because the things you see initially may have a common explanation- the very fact that you are 'looking', paying attention, and noting what you see is already more 'perceptive' than those that might blow it off and never look for any deeper meaning.

with the ability, though, comes great responsibility.... some are able to 'see' or sense and learn to associate certain colors or lack of with mood, attitude, health issues, substance abuse, or negative influence- and if you are using the gift properly, to heighten awareness in those around you of what you've been granted to see- this may not always be welcome or well received. you might find that 'seeing' is only for your own protection, to assist you in decisions regarding your associations with others- but only you can make the distinction whether it is for the benefit of someone else or for yourself.

best of luck, it sounds like you're about to go 'sightseeing'...

let us know your results...

Man! I remember this!!! I forgot about the crazy TV like snow that I used to see in my eyes when I was young. I used to refer to them as my "bats". Do not ask me why. But, yes, I cant tell if I got used to it or if it died down. I can see them still kinda but I remember them being more noticeable. I was more observant as a youngster though.
