Although this was bad business it is rather funny. I would just love to know what the IRS would like to print on our tax returns or what we would like to print on our ballots the next vote.

At that point I'd drop my service and refuse to pay the bill since they got my name wrong... Can't you do that? If the name is wrong by law you don't have to cough up the jing?

"Comcast officials offered Govan two months of free cable to try to make amends."

Huh? That's all? They'll offer you two free months if you call to cancel just because you want to cancel and weren't called a "b word". It seems this is worth at least a year of free service.

In another case, Peoples Energy customer Jefferoy Barnes started getting letters addressed to "Jeffery Scrotum Bag Barnes.

"I had no bad words at all. I guess the earliest letter is dated in May and from then on up until now my name has been listed as Jeffery Scrotum Bag Barnes and I have no idea why."
