Just a couple of oddities

I have recently found a couple of entries in a book that interested me and I wonder if anyone has any further information onthem to share. Please forgive my poor photography but the book was too big to go under the scanner!

The first is a US trainer with a stunning resemblance to something altogether bigger, faster and more Russian



And the second is Russian, a transport that I really like the look of, sort of a mini twin jet C-17 in some respects. It looks to me as if it shares quite a bit with the Tu 334 airliner.

I thought the Iranians had a demonstrator that looks alot like the WACO plane? Someone posted here claiming it to be thier version of Gen I stealth.

I looks like a engine plug was left in by the artist

Cheers, some good info there, though its a shame its credibility is hit by it including the Tu-180 as if it was real.

I wouldn't say the trainer was anything close to Russian.

So you wouldn't say the designers were in any way inspired by the look of the MiG 29 when they penned this then? The model shot at the top shows more of a similarity than the three view but its a clear resemblance to my eyes, as my tongue in cheek remark above the picture implied.

No, I would not say that they were inspired by the Mig-29.

For the first photo you posted we also called Bede Jet-10 which I only found one link to you www.autocycles.org...

it does have some remote resembelence to the MiG-29, esspecially the tailfins and the fins on the intakes, the LEX looks similar as well.
