fighter escorts in London

was standing outside hackney town hall ( since i was vising my sister ) waiting for the bus

and i saw
1 passenger plane followed by a Awac escorted with 2 fighters
behind that were 3 other jets each with 2 fighter escorts
and 2 other fighters

so what could be going on there

(shame my camera phone sucks)

Im also in the UK. When was this?

somewhere between 2-4pm
they were flying low so you could make out what they were

Yep could well be..... looked through the news sites and the only thing i seen was the queens b day thing, So could be related,

yes it was `trooping the colour` and an RAF flypast - those were Tornado`s and Typhoons

Maybe, I mean just compare the tails of the Tristar to the wings of the Typhoons.

In complement to the RAF, they really did make that Tristars' wing-engine cowlings nice and shiny.

Are those Chaff and Flare dispensors on the bottem tail of the Tri-Star? Maybe not, but look closely where the tail skids and the red lines are..........hmmm.
