Many of use on staff have come to the realization that, for a good portion of you, ATS is not "just a website" as we've often been heard to say, but a critical component of your daily lives. And for many, participation in this community has become more important than anything in your offline life.

That's very astute of you to recognize that. I have been on other
boards where those in charge were clueless to this. For many people
out there THIS is their community and their human interaction. The
anonymity of the boards allows them to open up in ways that they
couldn't IRL. The slams that happen here hurt some people more
than a lot of folks here will realize.

For some this is just one of many chat sites available online.
For others ... this is 'THE' place in their lives.
Glad you noticed.

Well if anyone is interested I am on ATS or BTS and PATS almost 24/7 I’m polite to other members and try to provide links for members, computer help, and funny pictures.
I don’t talk much in my posts so I use a lot of source links to explain and back up my position on matters that pertain to the thread that I post to. No banners “vote for me” or political Bee S, I have been a member of this community in good standings for over one year now. I think I have hade 3 warnings since being a member of ATS. I guess that’s it. Well one other thing I really enjoy ATS and all it members, I would just like to help the community at large or in the listed positions below.

- ATS Gov Council Person: ATS gov, NWO, conspiracy, etc. forums
- BTS Council Person: All BTS forums
- PTS Council Person: All PTS forums
- ATS Council Person At Large: Helping where needed

P.S. I have been out of work since those blasted little Hobbits destroyed my Empire

Try "our"

I look forward to seeing howing this works out. I have good faith in the members of ATS to pick suitable council members, as it were, for the job. I can think of a number of people off hand that would be great for it, we'll see out it turns out. Giving them the ability to warn would add some teeth to what might otherwise be a powerless position, but too much power, well, you know...

However this turns out, it should be really really interesting. I don't quite agree with the party idea, as it would create the divisions talked about. This isn't running for a politcal position, it's running for ATS position. Instead of political factions, we've got our own groups. The Paranoid Conspirists versus the The On-Edge Reporters.

Let's hope for the best.

thats what im worried about, the voting system. Look at ATSNN, thats gone down hill since the voting has took place, good articles are being over looked. This new council system has the potential to cause a lot of problems.

I nominate Syrian Sister for her sensible argument style and well thought out replies. Her unshakable support for the US government should be duly noted.

I nominate myself of course

I may have been on ATS only about 10 months now, but I have noticed which members contriubte much more then your average ATS citizen. These being the following members (in no perticular order):

MaskedAvetar
Valhall (I know she was a Mod before, still)
FredT (I know he was a Mod before, still)
Pisky
Skadi_the_Evil_Elf
LadyV
UK Wizard
American Mad Man
EnronOutrunHomerun
marg6043
surfup
AceOfBase
soficrow
E_T
intelgurl
infinite
elevatedone
James the Lesser
Nerdling

And of course the friendly ATS mods, supermods and Admins!

I know there are many other great contributers, but these are the one that stand out in my mind. Just my humble opinion...

I think it best to put quality before quantity, but yes you have listed several top quality members, there are a fair few that I would add.

Thanks for including me on the list

Yes, I agree that there are definetly some other members I have left out, but then again im still sort of a noob since I dont quite have the time to read everything on ATS that I would like. Sorry for not including some people that surly deserve the credit...
The list I made are just the people that stood out in my mind, there are probably others but I just can't think right now...

Re-reading what I posted I sounded a little harsh (don't know whether its just me or not). You did indeed list several outstanding members of the ATS boards.

I know most of the popular subjects, i know what has been covered and hasn't. I always read up in the NWO section to make sure what has been covered. Lets say, i know my fair bit about ATS

Now that I think about it... there are many, many members that really help make ATS what it really is (a great online community, more then anything else). The admins will sure have their work cut out for them, trying to pick people to fill those positions.
