it shows that how some homeless people can be good Samaritans. even when they are homeless, they still care about others in need of help.

This does not suprise me... Homeless people are Human,

What he did for that lady was very brave.. but i get bothered by the whole *homeless man saves women* thing.

So let me say it right
Kelcy Ruiz was killed in a horrific attact trying to save a women from intruders.

This man should be remembered as Kelcy Ruiz the hero, not the homeless guy out in the street

Sorry just my thoughts on this

deltaboy, That was a great story.
Made me sad too. So many homeless people and/or addicts who are really good people. Who have been just " Forgotten ".. Like his uncle said in the story " Forgotten Soul "

Reminds me of my Dad. He was homeless and a drug addict but he was the most compassionate man I ever knew.

Of course homeless people can be good samaritans! To think otherwise is silly. Far too often are homeless people criminilized and pushed out of our periphery. Out of sight, out of mind. They're basically denied personhood (via a restriction of citizenship rights).

One should not be surprised that he helped save someone.
