NEWS: British Hospital Staff Release One of Worlds Most Deadly Spiders

A Brazilian Wandering Spider which is deadlier than a Black Widow, with attributes of fast speed and agression has been released on hospital grounds in Somerset England after staff mistook the arachnid for a common garden spider. The spider is believed to have arrived in England in a box of bananas and was taken to the hospital along with chef Matthew Stevens after he was bitten on the hand by the spider in his hotel kitchen. Mr Stevens photographed the spider which was stunned by the cold after falling into a freezer.



Mr Stevens then poured boiling water over the spider and then cooked it in the microwave but the spider later recovered in hospital, struggling to escape the jar it was confined in.

Mr Stevens was suffering a badly swollen hand and dizziness and later left hospital after treatment with oxygen and a saline drip.

releasing a spider? Are they AFL terrorist? I kill all bugs being that I am gigantic to them and if the tables were flipped I'd expect the same.

Reminds me of the plot of the movie Arachnaphobia, where a spider smuggles its way in and escapes and breeds with a smaller harmless spider creating a super race of deadly spiders.

Hey, the hospital cared for the spider until it was well again. It's the job of the police to decide whether they want to charge it or not.

I really really really hate spiders. If I were to see that thing I would get as far away as possible or grab some type of sprayable poison.
