I want the Earth plus 5% (Allegory)

Hey guys,

Check this story out. Very interesting... Has the history of money in an allegory, and plus there's some NWO stuff in it. But it's a very long story and I haven't read all of it as yet.

I Want The Earth Plus 5%



Here's the first part:

Fabian was excited as he once more rehearsed his speech for the crowd certain to turn up tomorrow. He had always wanted prestige and power and now his dreams were going to come true. He was a craftsman working with silver and gold, making jewelry and ornaments, but he became dissatisfied with working for a living. He needed excitement, a challenge, and now his plan was ready to begin.

For generations the people used the barter system. A man supported his own family by providing all their needs or else he specialised in a particular trade. Whatever surpluses he might have from his own production, he exchanged or swapped for the surplus of others.

Market day was always noise and dusty, yet people looked forward to the shouting and waving, and especially the companionship. It used to be a happy place, but now there were too many people, too much arguing. There was no time for chatting - a better system was needed.

Generally, the people had been happy, and enjoyed the fruits of their work.

In each community a simple Government had been formed to make sure that each person's freedoms and rights were protected and that no man was forced to do anything against his will by any other man, or any group of men.

This was the Government's one and only purpose and each Governor was voluntarily supported by the local community who elected him.

However, market day was the one problem they could not solve. Was a knife worth one or two baskets of corn? Was a cow worth more than a wagon … and so on. No one could think of a better system.

Fabian had advertised, "I have the solution to our bartering problems, and I invite everyone to a public meeting tomorrow."

That was a good read and quite disturbing as well. It explained alot in a clear and easy to follow way. Perhaps we should distribute this to everyone in a vain hope of freeing ourselves?

It does sound vaguely familiar...

The monetary system in this world is and always has been a contrivance. The reference to the beginning of the current system having started in England doesn't seem to look deep enough. If anything, it was just an improvement on the theme already begun 2500 years earlier by the Semites. Probably the Sumerians and/or Babylonians before that.

There's always someone willing to exploit a flaw, cover it up under the guise of expertise and power, and dupe legislatures into accepting and passing laws to normalize the exploitation.

It's really easy to convince members of legislatures that they have something to gain by passing laws that benefit the benefactors themselves.

I think it's very important to revive this thread.
The happenings described in this story are exactly what is wrong with the world today and it also shows one thing very clearly:
The current financial system isn't "collapsing", it's being re-organized.

That was an interesting read.
It was only a story, but it completely relates to whats happening now. Everyone is in debt. And we wouldn't have been in debt if we didn't start the money system.

This story is very similar to Louis Evan's The Money Myth Exploded. (A story I was thinking of updating myself) I wonder if Mr. Hannigan had read Evan's story first?

PS. Interestingly, Evans was a supporter of social credit. In Mr. Hannigan's story, the banker is named Fabian, perhaps a stab at socialism?

EDIT: Reading through el_illumbrato's links above, it's possible that both authors were inspired by The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists, a much older publication.
