200 Billion Dollars and a Dream

What is your ultimate dream that you could achieve if you had 200 billion dollars to spend?

I would probably use 180 billion dollars to help the world. I would give about 10 billion to multiple nonprofit organizations to help research on cures for many human diseases as well as advancing medical science. Also I use no less then 100 billion dollars to give to World Health Organization, Feed The World organization and other similar organizations to help the less fortunate people (much of which are kids) of the world to a better life. Providing food, water, medical help, shelters, basic schooling and jobs will be my longest term goal for the under privileged. As well as a large scale efforts to save the earth environments and fellow animals (50 billion dollars). I would also fund people to get rid of mines left over from wars, as well as other dangerous weapons and chemicals (10 billion dollars) And last but not least I would spend 10 billion dollars of fund research and production of cleaner and much more efficient energy generators.

My longest dream though was to set up a utopian society on an island. With my 20 billion dollars that I would have left over, I would use it to buy a large geologically stable island (about 1,000 sq. km with a small mountain range with a peak of no less then 2km). I would then build small size community of about 25,000 - 50,000 people (from all over the world) mostly of which are specialist (and their families) in their fields of work from cooking, cleaning to construction and computers and everything in between. This will be a very clean community that is completely self substaining providing its own food, water, energy and resources. Living on this island is much like a constant vacation where everyone is laid back, worries free and just enjoying life. Of course everyone will have thier duties to help contriubuit to the society, but they wont be tedious like working in a cubical... Their duties will probably be enjoyable to most people because it is usually their field of knowledge. There will still laws and regulations, but they are most based on the Confucius principle of: "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you". The island and community will not be part of any country, and it will not be recognized as being one also but will be protected under international law.

This is my dream... but its sad to see that people with a great deal of money dont really spend much money to help their fellow man.
So what would you guys do if you had the money?

I would buy 200 Billion items from Wendy's $1 menu. Or maybe $100 Billion at Wendys, and the other $100 billion on Taco Bells $1 menu.

What I WOULNDT spend it on, like our government did, is Iraq!

Actually, you probably would. The govt would find out you have so much money and transfer a ton of it and tell the bank to tell you it was an error in the computers, and they are very sorry for the loss of your money.

Me, I'd give about $199 billion away to charity and save the rest so I could support my family for 3 or 4 generations.

If I had 200 billion dollars- by BareNaked Quake

If I had 200 billion dollars (if I had 200 billion dollars)
I'd buy you a house (I would buy you The White house)

If I had 200 billion dollars (if I had 200 billion dollars)
I'd buy you furniture for your house (Maybe a F-16 for the couch)

If I had 200 billion dollars I'd buy your love (and lots of viagara).

If I had 200 billion dollars
We wouldn't have to walk to the store
If I had 200 billion dollars
We'd take a limousine 'cause it costs more.
If I had 200 billion dollars
We wouldn't have to eat McChicken's
But we would, we'd just eat more.

Damn it... if I had 200 billion dollars I would be RICHHHH....

My friend..........

You grossly underestimate the adaptibility and versatility of the F-16.... Its the leading military jet and can be used as an air attack aircraft to ground attack aircraft to a couch-----source : The Couch Potato

And, I would love to have a couch with a commanding view..hehe

I would probally give half of it to relief, bible translating, and missionary organizations. Then I would spend 10 percent of it on books, videos, and magazines, so I could learn more. Then the rest I would spend on making my house and landscaping my um land.
