Denmark has a new King, HRH King Frederik The 10th

Queen Margrethe The 2nd announced on New Years Eve that she was abdicating, leaving her throne to Crown Prince Frederik.

Today is the day that 150.000 people has gathered in the streets of Copenhagen to celebrate the new king.

Frederik has enjoyed the favor of the people his whole life, having always appeared down to Earth and familiar with those he met.

He actively takes part in the annual running race named "Royal Run" running next to everyone else. A race where ANYONE can take part, even walking or disabled

Frederik is most famous for his participation in the year 2000 Sirius Expedition, as well as being accomplished in the military where he holds severals as well as finishing the "frogman" training which is the Danish equivalent of the Navy Seals.

I just watched live where the family were on the balcony.
It was lovely, his overwhelm with the support from his countrymen was palpable.

Yes, and he is often like that in situations like that 🤗 so thankful. I remember when he and Mary was married... so cute haha.

He really is loved by the people. May his reign be as full of wisdom and integrity as his mothers.
