You know we are decended from a colony ship full of advertising executives, used car salespeople, hair dressers, telephone sanitizers, etc... The real people that were part of this great computer's operating system are long gone. We are mearly wet malware.

When are the Vogons going to arrive?

42

What do you mean "Vogons going to arrive"?! They've been here forever. Even before the meaning of life was established as being 42. Sheesh...

"Only a matter of time" should be replaced with "only a matter of more funding".

I am sure that we are not the only inhabited planet in the Universe, what happened here most likely happened in multiple places in the universe.

But does it matter, is it worth all the money spent on it when we will most likely never get to those places anyway? Let them suppress their people in order to build ships to come here. It seems that people are drumming up more interest to get more money.

I mean the construction fleet. Not the ones surveying and sticking up the markers for where to blast.

We are safe as long as the dolphins are still here.

Thanks for sharing Carpy.

I kinda get the impression we are heading for a slow roll out of disclosure, a spoonful at a time until they think we have heard enough or as much as we can handle.

Transparency seems to be word of the day however it will only be relative transparency, whatever they do reveal will only be part of the full picture.

No free energy for all anytime soon (sadly)

They’ve already found us.

Absolutely!
We've all heard a few of the astronauts who saw strange flying objects during their missions.

Plenty of NASA video feeds have been saved by collectors that show craft coming and going from Earth, like we're a supplier of something.

I know I've said this before, Betty Hill was told during her abduction that we are on the alien 'trade routes' and so they regularly make stops here.
Seems though that they are stopping here for some of our resources.

That is a pretty safe comment for a scientist to make, I mean roughly 1 trillion years from now, the last star will be born. In about 100 trillion years, the last light will go out, so that makes some time to make that happen

I was going to say something similar.

The Label Release experiment attached to the 1976 Mars landed "Viking" proved microbiology exists on the Martian surface, and as the designer Gil Levin stated - the decision to not send a follow-up to settle the question is a political one not a scientific one.

And Mars being as giving as he is also was the centre of another event indicative of super advanced technology being utilised and that's the Phobos probe and not only the images of a multi-mile long cylindrical object next to phobos (hence the size estimate) but also it took infrared of the Martian surface and found heat differentials shaped like city grids spanning hundreds of kilometres and showing no correlating features in the visible spectrum on the surface - indicating underground structures of a unbelievable scale.

But when one has 3-4 mile long cylindrical craft , cities this big don't seem as unrealistic.

Who are we to declare what's impossible from our narrow and primitive experience.

But what if, like some are saying, we are the resource?

Don't care to meet those types.

I know it's out there, I just hope I'm still around when they have real proof, and not just microbial.

My thinking is we are here and probably not that special.

The universe, and even our own star system is a big place, comparatively speaking.

And we are only just beginning to understand what constitutes life down here on Earth never mind anywhere else in the cosmos.

Something also to consider is the fact that our current scientific instruments and methods can only detect 4-5% of the visible matter/baryonic matter in the universe.

Only a matter of time indeed.

"We come in peace, no harm no anger. be ready. Invasion soon."

We come in peace, invasion soon?

One's not exactly synonymous with the other.

Any idea what they are trading along these routes?

As to our resources, Earth is not special and the minerals, elements, and materials, found here are in abundance in far superior quantities in the likes of our asteroid belt.

Maybe it's people?

The thing is if you have the technology to cross the vast distances between the planets and stars, slaves and/or workers, are going to have be replaced with automation hence the need for such rather redundant.

Which once again begs the question of whats being bought and sold.

Hell of a long way to travel for take-out.

Why would they not just grow their own?

I mean we are just about a hop skip and a jump away from growing humans in artificial wombs.

It's not even the technology holding us back there so much as the ethical concerns.
