exactly but with the indominable human spirit we also invent and create, so i put the rise of the the Mediterranean / north African roman empire on warm weather and fall on not coping with cold/wet weather and the subsequent rise of the west down to not wanting to be cold, wet hungry ever again.

i cab testify that's my feeling growing up cold and wet in the 70s.. never want to be that cold ever again.. it'll do anything not to be that cold/wet..

I think of all the migrants coming here now* suddenly coping with not the cold but the wet cold of Britain and leaving on dinghies for warmer climates..
