Hippy mobiles with a lawnmower engine by my guess anonentity.

But each to their own, again my uncle love the daft upside-down pram.

As to still be going after most of the others have stopped.

I've not seen a 2CV on the road in quite a while now.

But apparently, there are still around with 2,600 left in the UK with an MOT.

The Germans used to love them, complete with "I fly Blei-frei [unleaded fuel]" bumper stickers.

Cheers

I think they were also quite partial to their own beloved little Volkswagens which also resemble an upside-down pram or thereabouts.

No, he isn't a mechanic. He had to pay a few though.

But compared with a Morris Minor, which incidentally next to the Austin A30 would be my favorite SHTF car, they aint bad. Simply if you know what your doing you can keep them going forever. The moment the chip goes in a modern car it is stuffed.

Just a thought but if the # hit the fan you would be better off with a motorcycle, or even a push bike, than any sort of car.

For a start, the roads are apt to be blocked or chocked full of people with the same to similar idea as yourself.

At least on a bike you may have a chance or the ability to circumvent the debris and traffic.

And if i had to pick a car it would be something in the 4x4 range with off-road capabilities as opposed to the 2-wheel drive sorts again down to the nature of the journey in question.
