Then Joe should be removed, among other things.

Anybody should be removed if they are unfit.

Well, this is the crux of the problem.

The people that get put forward for positions of the likes of POTUS tend to be rich old decrepit bastards with one foot in the grave as opposed to being on the ball.

And about in touch with reality as much as they are the feelings, hopes, and dreams of the everyday average Joe.

Unfit for purpose indeed.

I think it's illegal for political candidates to buy or provide free stuff for potential voters.

I suppose Trump is indeed rather xenophobic with all his MAGA nonsense.

But in this instance, i can't quite see how his xenophobic attitude applies to his lies about food for everyone.

End of the day Trump was only in attendance for 10 mins or so before he chose to depart.

Wasn't you, sorry.

I thought I would jokingly call out the Indian giver comment.

The drag or pull of collectivism,of the mob, of like-minded thought is strong among humans and seems to me anyway to be bred into us genetically from way back. I think it takes a concerted effort to not be pulled down into it. Simple conversations such as the one we are attempting demonstrate how easily falling back on pre-developed stereotypes can be.

Cheers

No problem theatreboy.

I suppose the term "Indian giver" does indeed carry with it some negative connotations.

Or even fall into the category of being disrespectful.

Then again, the phrase is used to describe a negative act or shady business dealing, so the cap just seemed to fit where Trump was concerned imho.

Average Joe cannot afford to run for POTUS.

Why anyone not crazy would want the job, I don't understand.

Average Joe cannot afford to run for POTUS.

Then they are hardly representative of the people now are they?

Why anyone not crazy would want the job, I don't understand.

If they were to select the candidates via lottery, they would probably still draw a better caliber of person for the job, than the crazy old coffin dodgers that currently covet the position by my guess.

Here is a scenario nobody will consider as their hatred keeps them blind.

Trump goes to resturant. People get excited. We saw all that. They start texting friends etc. More people start arriving. More excitement. Then he says 'food for everyone'. And that kicks the whole thing up a notch.

Secret Service may have pulled the plug about then.

Let without paying, or under advise of SS?

Perhaps Trump will send the resturant a fat check. If the owner doesn't bad mouth him.

There is video evidence that shows Trump’s visit to the Cuban restaurant CoyoteAngels.

Where he clearly said "Are you ready, are you ready? food for everyone, food for everyone."

I'm not quite sure which part is fake news considering what he said and did is plainly clear.

The part about him leaving without paying. The part about him stiffing the resturant.

After he says that, you can hear everybody, hootin and hollerin and whoopin and licking their lips at the prospect of the free food, and saying "thank you", as Trump smirks and shakes a few more hands.

Pitiful!

Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. LoL

But there is no "perhaps" about what he said or did, then leaving without paying.

That happened like it or lump it.

And what does the owner's opinion of the man have to do with his obligation to pay for food that he said he would pay for?

Do we only pay people that say nice things about us?

Where does that world exist?

Trump cannot even be bothered to pay his legal fees appropriately, chances are the restaurant owner would be on to plumbs, not that it would make much sense since no free food was given.
