In reality, they probably shot down their own missiles.

Hard to believe anything we hear about over there.

Arrested for "high treason" no less!

Rather harsh?

Kinzhal missile, or Killjoy in English

"Killjoy" is not the English word for Кинжал, it is the NATO reporting name for the missile.

" Кинжал " translates as " dagger " in English.

Cheers

An interesting article about hypersonic missiles, here:

www.sipri.org...

By some definitions, Germany's WW2 V2 could be so described.

I have always been intrigued by NATOs codenames for Russian planes, etc. Like Frogger, Foxbat, etc.

Killjoy seems most appropriate.

An odd quirk is that the reporting names only seem to address submarines, aircraft, missiles, and electronic gear. Ground combat gear didn't get reporting names. No idea why.

Cheers

Contrary to what the internet would have you believe, a hypersonic missile isn’t some magic bullet that’s invulnerable to being intercepted. It’s just much harder for most anti missile systems to intercept.

You seem Knowledgeable on the Subject . Could a Ground Based Electromagnetic Kinetic Energy Weapons System Accomplish the Task ?

If by "Electromagnetic Kinetic Energy Weapons System", you mean something like an EM "railgun", the question would be

"Why would you try to stop a bullet with a bullet when a few thousand bullets (ie. shrapnel from an exploding warhead) would likely be more effective?"

Not necessarily cheaper, or more "elegant", but proven, effective, and most importantly available.

Do You Remember this Incident ? There is Tech out there that is Beyond the Publics Knowledge . Why Not this Weapon being used on Hypersonic Missiles ? It does Not seem to have the " Shotgun Shell " Scatter Pattern to Shoot Down a Target .

Ukraine has now shot down 7 Kinzhal missiles using western anti-missile systems. Just today they shot down all 6 of them fired on Ukraine, supposedly using American made Patriot systems, but that information has not be released yet. This is good news for us. It means that the domestic made Patriot system is more than effective at taking down Russia's best and fastest missiles.

Without Ukraine, we couldn't have known this.

This doesn't sound like an ethical reason for the US to continue to escalate a foreign war ... but I'm sure the MIC is happy they now have some evidence to show Senators what they have been spending their kids money on.

i think any country inc us lacks material science to rebuild/manufacture these crafts, if bob lazar's story is to be believed they were using only recovered crafts in their test. none were built by them
