End of the day we’re all just cowering in terror to a country that has approximately the same gdp as Canada or Australia.

Like seriously! Yeah sure they have 6000 war heads and a heap of Soviet era tanks… but how much of those nukes are actually still in working order?

In a country of 140 million people and the gdp of a very small first world nation, how much damage can they really do at the end of the day?

It’s time we stand up to this toothless tiger. Sure they could fire off one of the few nukes they have that are still in working order and it’d be totally devastating… but it’d also be the end of Russia as we know it.

Kids would only know about Russia because they read about them in there history books at school, within a generation.

I’m no warmonger, but I feel like it’s time to draw a line in the sand before we just come complacent and let this go further than Ukraine and let history repeat itself.

I am more concerned with Zelensky though. He's more unhinged than Putin is, and he seems to want the nuclear war more than Putin does. Putin won't strike first.

Are you suggesting that Zelinsky has nazi nukes?

Or that Zelinsky invaded anyone?

Or that Zelinsky made any nuke threats?

Why make stuff up?

You're clearly confusing Zelinsky and putin.

Maybe russians should go back to russia then?

You know, to stop enriching the nazi Zelinsky.

It’s so true, just look what happened to the Tartars.

It is (or was) a little disingenuous to only look at the gdp though. Production facilities and people who can use them maybe another avenue to look down.

And in the ensuing posts glen raises my point and I raise my glass

I don't think wishing nuclear holocaust on millions of people because you once saw a video on youtube of someone sttruggling with a can openner is a valid reason. As I said, If you honestly do then take a break from the internet.

Politics and war can cause heightened emotions but wanting to see people burn or wishing genocide on millions is completely off the deep end behaviour that a Hitler, Stalin and Mao would be proud of.

Not a personal dig, everyone is succeptable to getting overly emotional and wound up about such subjects, including myself. i've had to take breaks after arguments with certain UK politicians. Taking a break helps snap you snap back to reality instead of further wound up by hyper sensationalised media engineered to cause division and send people down a rabbit hole they can't get out.

Well gee Thanks for the advice, but I think I'll stick around just the same.

I got nothing in common with Stalin Mao or Hitler. Those guys were all socialists or outright communists.

I'm none of those things (Thats a left wing trope)..lol

And I'm far from emotional, that too is a leftie thing (being over emotional and illogical).

Judging on how triggered you seem to be getting though, I would wager you fall under that trope..

Don't get so bent out of shape, I have my opinion and that's that, not much you can do about it.

Just sayin' that if TSHTF, all those hipsters are better off frying because they can't look after themselves in a world without Soy Cafe Lattes and vegi-burgers.

Better to go quickly than starve to death. I don't want to have to feed you all...lol

Because that's the reason russia gave for the urgent need to Ukraine.

And it's hilarious.

russia used it as a primary reason for invading Ukraine.

I still haven't stopped laughing.

russia still hasn't provided any evidence.

russia supporters no longer want to discuss it.

Yes, hilarious!

'Disingenuous'?

No, but I am accurately describing the russian propaganda at the time.

The propaganda used as 'justification' for invading Ukraine.

Still just as hilarious now as it was then, maybe even more hilarious now that russia supporters are trying to memory hole it like it never happened.
