Large beetle

I caught a huge beetle of some sort tonight! I have him in the freezer until he goes under, then I will get pictures and when they are developed I will post here. Man, this one is bigger than yours I suspect. We'll know soon enough though.

Southern Roaches are nothing compared to what I'd see in Saudi....those things were nasty... Of course, there were some pretty nasty buggies out in the deserts...

Cool beetle though, looks like the scarabs in the Mummy, only different color....

I thought it was a female unicorn beetle at first, but now I know it's a scarab.
Yes, flying cockroaches are disturbing, there's one buzzing madly around in my living room now... I'd really hate to encounter a roach nastier than the american cockroach or other such palmetto bugs. I have a horrible phobia of them.
