I'm watching it live on CNN right now. Protesters have entered the Capitol building and all the legislators and staff are now in isolation for their own protection. The protesters broke the barriers and illegally entered the building. That's NOT peaceful protesting. You cannot "peacefully" protest this legislative proceeding by crashing the gates and storming the chambers. That's violent by definition.
