Are you in China?

Me neither but since the internet has no single connection point that all the data flows through, and the internet protocol was specifically designed so that data finds a route around parts of the network that are down, turning off an entire nation's access to such presents somewhat of a logistical dilemma.

There is no big red Internet kill switch if that's somehow your impression, not even in China.

It actually really doesn't pose a logistical issue at all.

I guess you have never heard of Standard Operating Procedure 303.

The President has within his power to shut down or take over any and all wired and wireless communications in America in the event of a National Emergency.

Homeland Security thinks it should take about 10 minutes.

And btw, if our government does not have a kill switch, then why was there legislation introduced as recently as September 23, 2020 to strip that power from the President?

It's all good. America survived a civil war, a couple world wars and the F.D.R "progressives",. (You know the ones that gave us the 16th Amendment?). for over 200 years. Without internet.
We can do it again!
I'm guessing, we'll just have to make do, with a 'hand shake", eye contact, "o'l fashioned" "letter writing" and "stamp licking" to get things done!

Oddly enough? My own son is a "graduate" of this "public education" system, he became a cop/"L.E.O" and he thinks printing, is writing. And believes cursive is some kind of ancient biblical writing and meant to be read and understood by "scholars"..

I personally wouldn't be upset if your birdie was right. Wouldn't upset me in the least...

It's funny because Trump is a sell out, he will do anything for cash (watch him sell american secrets when he leaves office in January) and I bet as the years go by we will find out what debts he repaid with favours while in office.

Now you have Joe Biden? You guys need better politicians!

YT is already experiencing outages.

Wouldn't put it past em to pull the kill switch, but they best be ready for hell to open up on their ass.

I was going to post a thread about the Washington Post and Democrats flat-out lying about Postal worker Richard Hopkins recanting his sworn testimony. There is a video out there of him denying it and that at the FBI interview he wore a wire.

But I can't post the video because YT is down...

No, the video, supposed or otherwise is down...work from there.

Of course there are protocols and procedures in place to shut down certain parts of our internet and networks for very obvious reasons.

The point is there is no big red kill switch.

I have heard of paranoia and so has your current POTUS for sure.

So whichever birdie is singing it seems to be digital bullcrap daft doom porn.

Believe as you wish all the same, proof however will be beyond your grasp.

Yes I've started having issues last night with YT. Right now it's only YT and nothing else. I'm going with Terrydon79 for now. We'll see how this all plays out in the next 48-72 hours.

Try to check in on Wikipedia and see if there are changes, which is hard to do as info changes constantly.

Youtube and Google are still working our side of the pond.

Don't use Instagram or really understand its purpose so i cant speculate there.

Follow the link downdetector.com...

it will show you who spiked and who didn't, a lot spiked as outages at the same time.

Where did I say the internet was down? seriously, all I said was outages spiked for a lot of places at approximately the same time.

If you went to the link you would see it's the case at least according to down detector

Not trying to panic anybody or say it's the end of the world jeez

Well just to point it out.

The thread starts off as "The internet is going down in the next 48-72 hours."

Now granted you did not say it.

Don't say some of the internet, just "The internet".

The implication being clear.

And Youtube and Google are working just fine.

So there is that.

Not sure what anyone else is experiencing, but Internet, YT and all other 'online' aspects are working, and have been working just fine on my side.

Again according to downdetector.com... there were outages from a number of sites approximately at the same time. A simple look will show this unless you can't read a graph showing each entity and when it spiked. Again no spouting the end of the world just pointing out it's easily verifiable on any places down detector being one of them

Fair enough, but surely you can see the distinction between "The internet is going down" and "outages from a number of sites" ?
