First I want to get a brief history out of the way. I was around for the 2016 election(I was also around much earlier with a different Username which i've long since forgotten the PW and email registration address but that is neither here nor there). Soon after I stopped visting. I returned in March to look into Coronavirus topics. I've lurked since then. I find most online discussion to be disingenuous at best. Therefore I've refrained from participating. I need to blow off steam and that's what I'm going to do.

This election is a fiasco. The hastiliy constructed mail-in ballot system is designed for fraud. Many choices have been made that defy logic. I'll give two brief examples of systems that could have been implemented that would have done much to prevent this:

1) Mail in ballots postmarked no later than Ocotober 31st allowed to be received at polling locations. A complete halt to the acceptance of any votes that arrive after the polls officially close. Ballots have been sent out since early September(perhaps earlier, correct me if i'm wrong but that is beside the point). There is no reason to believe the voters could not mail in their ballot before then.

OR

2) Nationwide mandate on disclosure of results. No County of any State may release the results of the counting until all counties, precincts or jurisdictions announce that counting is complete. Yes, this means we are waiting for Hawaii polls to close and votes counted before any results are known. So be it.

Now, these two ideas i've created in the span of a matter of minutes would have gone a long way toward maintaining the appearance of propriety. I'm not saying they are correct. I'm not saying they are ideal. I am saying a system could have been devised that addressed the issue above. It was not. This leads me to believe the chaos we are witnessing now is intentional. This has implications that are profound.

Law, going back to the Code of Hammurabi, was created for a simple reason: An individual cannot be trusted to put the needs of society above thier own. It's an imperfect system that is rife for corruption. Now, the law is being used to subvert law. The problems in the swing states demonstrate this. We have State Secretaries ignoring lawful orders. We have State Legislatures and Courts creating laws that conflict with earlier law vis a vis mail-in ballots. We have election counters halting counts for no discenrable reasons. We have votes being allowed to be received and allotted after the polls have officially closed. All of this and more is in the official 2020 election thread.

The very idea of sanctity of the Law has been called into question. This suspicious behavior requires investigations. The survival of our Republic as a nation of laws demand it.

The End. Thank you forum for allowing me to blow off steam!

The mail in ballot system has been in use since the Civil War.

Of course it has, but how many times has it went beyond election day? My left center leaning friends are just as pissed off. It's straight up fraudulent.

There's a massive cover up with this. The pedos are winning. As long as he's not trump though. "Very smart educated people" believe this is the way.

We’re in the midst of a pandemic. Which means there is going to be an unprecedented surge in the amount of mail in ballots. Most Democrats take the pandemic seriously, while Republicans don’t. Which means the majority of mail in ballots will probably favor the Democrats. Add to that that Donald Trump has spent months telling his followers to vote in person and you have what we’re seeing.

The GOP actually fought PA to stop them from counting mail in ballots early. If you want to place blame, place it where it’s deserved.

You know well that I am describing the mail-in ballot system conceived by Pelosi during the early months of the Coronavirus pandemic. You also know well that the absentee ballot system in place before the pandemic has a series of checks and balances to insure the appearance of propriety. The mail-in ballot system of 2020 does not.

I would like to thank you for providing an example of the disingenuous behavior I alluded to in my OP.

Thanks. Unfortunately I believe that is all it is. An observation. I'd like to believe it will make a difference. I cannot.

Well the people using mail in ballots should be responsible enough to make sure they are in by the end of the 3rd. No vote should be accepted past the closing of the polls. Regardless of political leanings.

I'm not saying they should stop counting. I'm saying they should stop accepting votes. It's either the Usps or the lazy civilians fault.

I never received a mail in ballot at all. Then again Illinois has everyone by the balls and just votes Dem for everyone anyway.

Both sides were delusional about how much support they had in this election. Blue wave, red wave. Most people are sick of the bullsh!t from both parties and simply choose what they think is a lessor evil. Giant douche or turd sandwich. Instead of blaming the other party or the people who voted for them the left and right need to do some soul searching.

Exactly. It seems that zero steps were taken to insure the appearance of propriety. Hell, it seems that the propriety of the election was not considered at all. I wish I had the awnser. All I can come up with is to demand an investigation. What worries me is if the situation has gone beyond that. Again, the implications of that are profound(is there a broken record emoji?).

Aw come on man, Joe has hairy legs....I mean that's kind of a big factor. Plus, free Pornhub accounts man. Didn't you ever just want to get high man? Forget the ballots, get high man, let Uncle Joe sniff your hair.

Politics is all about deceiving people to believe in one party or another. It is about power hungry people wanting their agenda to get expressed. Both sides do that, fraud is always going to be a part of politics, even down to the smallest political elections on local levels.

We send these people to DC to see if the deceivers can do something for us by making deals with jerks who control the legislatures. The fact that there has been little bipartisan support for things show in essence that people are being defrauded by the politicians. Those congressmen are worried more about the special interest groups they are aligned with than the regular citizen of this country that are in the middle. The more votes cast in an election, the more chances of there being fraud happening, sorry, but that is the way it works and that is the way it has worked for a long time. Computer technology has actually made it easier to do fraud, not helped to stop it.

You're right about that. I myself didn't have faith in the polls. I did expect an election that had the appearance of propriety. I'd have to say it was in most of the states. But that mattered on Tuesday. #. If I had the knowhow i'd create a meme with that line from street fighter. "The day Bison corrupted your election is a day you'll remember. For me, it was Tuesday."
