This is a 6 minute video of a guy trying not to crap himself.

Mountain lion

And this is why I hate to hike alone. “Dude” had no sidearm, no bear spray and no dog. Just meandering along with no thoughts of

“Hey, maybe I shouldn’t try and film the baby mountain lion.”

I never go into the woods without a firearm. It's dumb.

If you live anywhere that mountain lions live you might run into them. It's a better chance than even coyotes in some places.

Don't be dumb. Bring a side arm with you or you'll be lunch.

Right? Guy is lucky he didn’t have to back down a hill. He would have been kitty kibble for sure.

Having some sort of weapon is the only reason humans aren't somewhere in the middle of the food chain.

A paintball or BB gun would've done the trick.

That’s why she was so angry, he caught her before she got all gussied up. Never show up early on a date.

Lol, try shooting a mountain lion with a paintball gun and report back how that worked out for you.

Good luck getting it out in time to take care of a cat that’s stalking you. I’ve been stalked by one while on the side of a river at night, and there was no time to reach for it before it was standing in front of me.

Not saying don’t bring a firearm, but thinking you can have it out in time versus a big cat coming at you is wishful thinking. You really need a shotgun you can just point and spray.

Yea..she won't stop until she escorts him out of her range.

Guy was lucky she was feeling charitable..

Cougars and/or Coyotes won't attack humans unless you provoke them and they have no choice.

Be aware of your surroundings...

If you're so scared to go into the woods...maybe you should just stay home...

Not likely, IMHO. When mountain lions attack to kill, in order to eat, they attack from ambush. They get to their target as quickly as possible and attack the most vulnerable parts. This looks like a territorial dispute where the animal was trying to evict the human from its territory.

Successfully, I might add.

I would have used the Five-Point-Palm Exploding-Heart-Technique and messed that kitty up.

Threw a rock at it.

Scary.
Looked like there was plenty of big rocks laying around to hammer on the cat’s skull though.
