Is it just me or does Russia seem to get a lot of stuff dropping in, maybe they got more cameras over there perhaps

It almost looked like the color of that comet that broke up a month or so ago. I wonder if there is any chance it is related to that comet. Where did all the pieces get scattered to when it blew apart?

It didn't blow apart. It fell apart.
The pieces are following the same orbit they were on. Far, far away from Earth.

At 10 or 11 seconds something shoots straight down and then curves while leaving a trail. Interesting.

Ok there seems to be a blur below the level of the lights so maybe you are right a bug.

The pieces also aren't following anything.

They are travelling.

They are falling around the Sun, just like the comet was. Just like we are.
Following a path determined by gravity. An orbit.

Where do comets come from?

Did they follow a path to our system or travel here?

What's the difference between blowing apart and falling apart?

Op Thanks for video, love seeing things like this. Russian cams do have a knack of catching them don't they.

The long period ones mostly come come from the Kuiper Belt and the Oort Cloud. Short period ones are closer to home. These are all part of the Solar System.

Others, we are learning, do come from "out there."

"Blowing apart" implies a significant amount of velocity imparted to the fragments. Falling apart not so much.

Think of a hand grenade exploding as opposed to a snowball falling apart in mid-air.

I notice you didn't quote me...

So the comets from "out there" travel here?

Or do they follow something here?

Sounds kinda nitpicky, eh?

Sorta like correcting someone about "blow" apart or "flew" apart...

Wow, awesome capture.

I love the colour of it.

The streak before the comet is likely a bug.
