The first time I heard of this was a few days ago, and has probably has already been discussed in one of the recent threads about young people. This reminded me of a childhood illness, chickenpox. I believe I was 7 or 8 when I contracted it, and I remember getting horrible blisters on the BOTTOM of my feet. I did have blisters pretty much EVERYWHERE, but the ones on my feet made it painful and difficult to walks. This COVID-Toe syndrome is much different, though, because it seems to be expressing itself even when no other symptoms are present. I will be following this story, I wonder if any of you have any first-hand experience with this!

I will post a couple of the less disgusting photos just so you can get an idea of what this is about.

SOURCE ARTICLE

Doctors are learning more about COVID-19’s newest and oddest skin manifestation, dubbed COVID toes, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention adds to the growing list of symptoms associated with the coronavirus.

The American Academy of Dermatology has compiled a registry of skin manifestations associated with COVID-19. About half of the more than 300 total cases on the dermatological registry consist of COVID toes.

Dr. Esther Freeman, director of Massachusetts General Hospital Global Health Dermatology and member of the AAD task force on COVID-19, said COVID toes are pinkish-reddish “pernio-like lesions” that can turn purple over time.

She said this shouldn't be confused with a different medical condition that occurs in critically sick patients called purpura fulminans.

When she first started the registry with the academy, she was expecting to see viral rashes often driven by inflammation.

“What was more surprising to me was this overwhelming representation of these ‘COVID toes,’” she said.

Thank you, despite the 'yuck' factor, this is something that I was unaware of.

It is likely that other symptoms will become apparent over time, too.

I do know that there appear to be increased numbers of strokes in people outside of the published 'at risk' criteria, with COVID-19, as well.

Let's hope an immunization or antibody treatment will materialize soon.

Interesting...
I know I have been walking around with no shoes on a lot more since the lockdown.
Wore the same pair of socks for a few days too.

Maybe people are a little less careful with their feet, creating more exposure to foot fungus or other types of rashes.

I trust the doctors have ruled out all other possibilities. Before concluding its specific to Covid 19.

I hope it’s not...If you test positive for Covid and just so happen to have athletes feet, then that becomes Covid Toe.
Or if you have eczema then you have a Covid Rash.

Is it’s truly a product of Covid. or a way to spread more fear. Just like how they report Covid Deaths.

King 5 talked about this, and to me it looked like people need to air their feet out instead of keeping their slippers on all day. Even the dryish cracked skin looks like the types of foot injuries that diabetic get when fungus attacks their feet. I think this just comes to down to personal hygiene. What's next "Covid-Butt"? I'm going to project that Covid-Butt or "CB" will cause a persons butt to get wider and have sores on it.

I wonder if I could have Covid Blindness. My eyes sight is getting worse.

I wonder how all those fibromyalgia sufferers will feel knowing that they just have a bad case of the Covid Cluster F@ck. Sadly though...No treatments available must be put on ventilators.

Reminds me of hand foot and mouth disease. I once contracted in Mexico and it manifested a few days after I got home luckily(good that I could enjoy the vacation and mad because I probably infected a few folk I contacted on my way home as I showed no symptoms. Red dots on the hands feet and back of the throat that blister and fill with red blood. Extremely painful on the feet and throat. I wasn’t sober at the time so I recalled popping some real good pain killers just to walk. after they started to heal the blisters looked a lot like the picture with painted toes. My wife only had little dots on her hands and feet and sore throat. I had blood filled sores I could literally taste blood at all times.

I tried telling her that petting zoo in the jungle outside Cancun was gunna be a mistake.

Expect more of this as no ailment will be safe from being covid related. The fear has died down, and as I said in another thread, leading with the numbers on the news is not having the same effect. We need more shocking discoveries about what all the Covid can and will cause. Covid butt may very well be next, hopefully without photos.

This was VERY good. I hope others took the time to watch the whole thing.

ETA: I see there is a shorter second part that's still up at YT:

Fairly certain our life expectancy would be much lower if specialist doctors were stupud enough to mistake obvious, known conditions for something completely different.

There's still a lot to learn about this virus, but its affect on hemoglobin is becoming more well-known by the day. I wouldn't be surprised if "COVID toes" is a reflection of the viruses' attack of the heme.

It is very good thought provoking video.

It questions what we have been told on how we were told how to keep the majority safe.

Basically, it gives true numbers of the area these doctors treat.

As epidemiologist and emergency doctors they are questioning the choices that have been made for their area and support it with not feelings, or inaccurate models, but cold hard facts.

They were very brave to sit down and do this.

If the video is being removed one has to question why?

As this is not misinformation, but accurate true collected information.

Literally everyday some new symptom of this virus is "found".

One day it's sending kids to ER. The next day it's causing toe issues. Then it's affecting men by a 3:1 margin.

Does anyone actually know anything about this virus? It's almost as if they are publishing as much disinformation as possible to keep us scared and in the dark.

Yup, like we needed something to make feet and toes more nasty than they already are.

Uncertainty is powerful.
It’s one of the ways cults keep their members so committed.
