Happy Easter ATS

Hey guys,

The world is crazy right now,
but life is always what you make of it.
You can always choose to be the best person you can be, every single day, no excuses.

I want to wish you all a Happy Easter, even if you don't have a particular faith.

I'm quarantined at work for 2 weeks.
But I called my kids this morning and got to wish them a Happy Easter.
They are safe at home and I'm for the most part, safe at work.
Like I said, its what you make of it.

Long story starting with the covid bs kind of shut me down. I was starting to get a lot of commission work for 18x24in custom posters featuring all kinds of super heroes for 75$ a pop. Mainly for single moms with kids and I would throw in some prints of my original work, for a little while I had a huge spike in people becoming interested in my work on artstation and other areas hell even on FB even though I myself don't have an account.

After the apocalypse started the art stores shut down and supplies became scarce and I wasn't able to readily get pieces done and the ones I did finish for people they couldn't pay me cause they are laid off. I ended up getting some bad rep cause of it people saying that I didn't come through on social media even though I have completed pieces with no payment, and other pieces I just couldn't finish. I am out of resources that I would rather purchase in person so I can attest to particular color etc in real life versus based on a web image.

My personal work got put on a stand still for the time being as well cause my job as a welder/ machinist really picked up considering we make parts for the medical/pharm/ other government and tech applications so been there around the clock too.

Happy Easter!

Normally, we do a lamb roast or lamb stew or have lamb. It's a bit difficult to find this year for obvious reasons. I sent Teikiatsu to the grocery store this morning. We're hopeful they might have ground lamb, and then we'll do spaghetti and meatballs with a ground lamb/pork mixture.

Otherwise, my computer got upgraded and is doing the usual new build I hate you antics, so I'm typing this on his computer, and I really, really hate his keyboard. He has bigger fingers, so his keyboard is much wider than mine. It keeps him from fat-fingering, but I feel like all the keys are out of place.

Son is getting antsy because we haven't done our Easter Egg hunt yet. We will before lunch. The cold air is supposed to really come in right around then. It might even snow a bit this evening.

I also plan to bake jam thumbprint cookies with kiddo this afternoon. We parcel them out as dessert as the week progresses. We did chocolate chip last week, but I thought he'd have fun making the thumbprints and putting jam in them before baking. We're doing strawberry and either blueberry or apricot.

Meanwhile, Teikiatsu will be attempting wrestle my computer into submission so I can work tomorrow. It might involve wiping the hard drive. It might also involve *gulp* Windows 10.

Oh damn!
Thats rough.
But I know you will be back up and running once all this stuff is over.

I would love to show you some of my new work but I no longer use online photo albums of the sort to share my work. I will tell you one cool thing I did do for a little girl, I made a Hulk/ Iron Man poster where Iron Man was escorting the Hulk from Planet Hulk. I shown the guys at my local comic shop a few months back and they liked my Hulk better then the guys who actually make the hulk for a living. I guess my by nature darker style really comes through when doing my interpretation of other peoples characters, the little kid loved it.

It'll work on way or another because if it doesn't the only alternative is to take it to repair and they're backlogged by a week. When you get paid by the job, that's a hard option with the busy part of the month coming up.

I sent you three, The Hulk I described before matting unfortunately I didn't photograph it matted, a spider man I am working on for the hell of it, and some concept art for my comic. I know in at least one pic you can see a black and white of another of my original comic pages I could probably send you but it is very incomplete.

You can tell everyone here how bad it really is too if you want.
