China coronavirus transmission from snake to human, was Havard involved?
December 12, 2019, Wuhan Municipal Health Commission reports that 27 cases of viral pneumonia with 7 of them being critically ill, began in the Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market in in the city of Wuhan, China. Most of them had history of exposure to the virus where poultry, bats, snakes; and other wildlife animals were also sold.
According to Journal of Medical Virology onlinelibrary.wiley.com...

“The recombination occurred within the viral spike glycoprotein, which recognizes cell surface receptor. Additionally, the findings suggest that snake is the most probable wildlife animal reservoir for the 2019-nCoV based on its RSCU bias close to snake compared to other animals.” RSCU bias between viruses and their hosts suggested that viruses tends to evolve codon usage bias that are comparable to their hosts. A comprehensive sequence analysis and comparison resulted in analysis suggesting that snake, is the most probable wildlife animal reservoir responsible for the current outbreak of 2019-nCoV infection.
The Chinese krait and the Chinese cobra have similar RSCU synonymous codon usage bias. The squared euclidean distance indicates that the 2019-nCoV and snakes from China have the highest similarity in synonymous codon usage bias. As parasitic microorganism, virus codon usage pattern resembles its host, indicating, from this study, that the 2019-nCoV came from some snakes at the market in Wuhan.
Do I believe this study? Not right now I don’t, but I find it suspect that, Charles Lieber, chair of Harvard's chemistry and chemical biology department, was arrested on charges of lying about receiving millions of dollars in Chinese funding. Lieber was required to work for Wuhan University of Technology and has been accused of trying to smuggle biological research back to China.

Prosecutors also discussed Tuesday, that Zaosong Zheng whose visa was sponsored by Harvard, was indicted last week on charges of smuggling stolen vials of biological research. Before he was about to board a December flight to Beijing, customs agents at Logan International Airport found 21 vials “wrapped in plastic and hidden in a sock.

I can't wrap my head around the fact that why a Guy working that kinda Position at Harvard has the "need" to smuggle this kinda material.

Why risk everything you build and risk the rest of your career smuggling some stuff.

People don't make those choices in a heartbeat , he of all people should have know the risk it would bring to his future.

Who would hire a guy who sneaks stuff out of the lab ?

it smells like he is being forced or blackmailed , or has been honeypotted i dunno , or even working for the chinese.

Working for the Chinese?
its the American`s who patented the vaccine. So its more likely that they want to boost sales. Hence releasing it, what a crazy world we live in.

I was unaware that there is a vaccine for the 2019-nCoV.
Can you please provide a source, the world is waiting.

The professor from Harvard, Mr. Lieber, is responsible.

Some middle eastern cultures revolve around not having a moral compass and accruing as much financial wealth that they can muster.

No he wasn't. He was accused to lying to the feds and funding agencies about financial ties to China. The other two cases of Chinese nationals smuggling research and information are not related to him.

And here: " These talent programs seek to lure Chinese overseas talent and foreign experts to bring their knowledge and experience to China and reward individuals for stealing proprietary information. Under the terms of Lieber’s three-year Thousand Talents contract, WUT paid Lieber $50,000 USD per month, living expenses of up to 1,000,000 Chinese Yuan (approximately $158,000 USD at the time) and awarded him more than $1.5 million to establish a research lab at WUT. In return, Lieber was obligated to work for WUT “not less than nine months a year” by “declaring international cooperation projects, cultivating young teachers and Ph.D. students, organizing international conference[s], applying for patents and publishing articles in the name of” WUT." www.justice.gov...

Paywall. I am familiar with the case, and have read multiple articles on it. They are not related. Here is an article not behind paywall: www.sciencemag.org...

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Boston announced today it has charged Charles Lieber, the chair of Harvard University’s department of chemistry and chemical biology and a prominent nanoscience researcher, with making a false statement to federal investigators about his financial ties to a university and foreign talent recruitment program in China.

In unrelated cases, prosecutors simultaneously filed charges against two Chinese nationals, Yanqing Ye and Zaosong Zheng, who had been enrolled in scientific research programs at universities in Massachusetts.

They key bit in bold.

Further:

He has not been charged with economic espionage for passing along intellectual property. Instead, the allegation focuses on a financial relationship Lieber developed with the Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) and China’s Thousand Talents Program beginning in 2011.
