Just FYI, since being married, Kate and William have spent Christmas Day with Kate's family twice. The first time was when she was pregnant with George and was suffering severe morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum)... I don't blame her. I'm sure even the Queen thought it was more appropriate for her not to attend. The second time was between her pregnancies with Charlotte and Louis.

Can I play too? Besides the above mentioned hyperemesis gravidarum, I can think of a couple other significant differences... Kate and William have always spent their babies' first Christmas with the Queen; Kate and William also live on the Sandringham estate, so I'm sure the Queen sees Kate and Will's kids more frequently; and Prince Philip wasn't hospitalized any of those Christmases...
