AS odd as it may seem would it be possible for a bear to mate with a monkey therfore yileding a bigfoot type creature? I know if I ever saw sasquatch id give him something to eat to get him into my car. THen wed go to mcdonalds and do a whole bunch of fun stuff together LOL. Honestly would it be possible? Ive heard scientist have been able to cross breed humans and animals. Maybe big foots an expierament gone wrong?

You might want to check these ones out that have already been started on Bigfoot.

Even if monkeys and bears could mate and produce viable offspring, how many species of monkey live in the bigfoot country of the western United States? I believe the number is ZERO! Sorry, but this is a pathetic theory.

Its not really a theory. Werent there monkeys in earlier times? Is there such thing as a pathetic theory on ATS? I mean come on honestly
!

So your theory would be not only can bears and monkeys produce offspring, but they can produce fertile offspring! Even horses and donkeys can't do that, mules are sterile.

I suppose this might be possible with advanced genetic technology far beyond our scientific grasp.

I'll tell you something it might be a GORILLA + GIANT CHIMP think about it a bear and a monkey wouldnt work the bear would kill the monkey but Apes are different their about the same size and if they would be confusedprobably, and geneticlly engeinering it would take it years and breeding wouldn't be possible at all.

I think that Bigfoot may not be a cross-breeding exercise.
It may be just a tourist gimmick.
I mean, look at the evidence. Footprints that can be faked by humans, hair samples that remain unknown. No dead bodies. Vague and shrouded pictures on the internet and audio samples that can be generated by modern electrical devices.

I could go on, but I believe that these creatures either are very intelligent animals that know how to ellude man or a lucky race of beasts that have not been captured yet.

Probably, they're just another invention from minds that yearn for a time when we were closer to nature.

Sadly, the world may not be as magical as we wish.

actually different species cannot interbreed (did i say that right?). In other words a Bear could not produce an offspring with a monkey. now heres a question i saw on a shirt at school. Bear+Deer=Beer?

We can solve this once and for all by putting a bear and a monkey into a romantic situation and put on some Barry White. Maybe throw some Viagra in their food and see what happens.

The monkey will get horny and throw it's "fecal" matter.....

LOL....I love the topics i find on this site

I'd just like to see the monkey that can...ummm...throw it to a bear. Or better yet, whats left of a monkey thats on the receiving end of some serious bear loving.

Hahahahahaha....

Well, Monkeys are smaller relatively humans, and bears are relatively very large dogs. So, Its lke some guy (Bob) having sex with a dog (Dog). The genetic code is so different that there would be either no fertilization or the egg would just die shortly after fertilization. It also couldn't be genetic engineering because there are native americans in california (navajo?) with legends of a large hairy beast.

Yes. Its a conspiracy. They don't use barley and hops and stuff. They take these animals and put them in hot rooms put them in a large tub. They gather the sweat and ferment it. lol

I have discussed this dilemma with several scientists and they have agreed that the only way any interbreeding between a monkey and bear could be productive is that that use the situation listed below.

1. A small, cheap restaurant with crushed velvet furniture.
2. Barrie Manilow music, faint and tinny.
3. A weak, bent-forward waiter who buzzes around annoyingly.
4. Over-cooked food and urine-looking wine.
5. The bear is de-clawed.

I feel it's important to search for answers in any puzzling situation so, I've a 'Gentle Ben' suit, Anybody got Planet of the Apes stuff?

ROFL.

Barry Manilow??!?!?! How about Chef from south park. I mean clearly the other forum users would prefer that.

It all depends on the number of chromosomes. If the number isn't the same, there can never be any offspring.

There's a table on this page listing some of the number of chromosomes of some animals.

Bob: 46
Bob's Dog: 78

Ain't happenin...
