My thoughts on the impeachment of President Trump

Stanford Law School Professor Pamela Karlan, a witness for the Democrats, said while talking about the differences between kings and presidents, “So while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron.”

The remark drew widespread criticism from many who thought that it was inappropriate to drag President Donald Trump’s youngest child, who is a minor, into the highly polarizing political circus.

From what I'm reading in various social media, Professor Karlan should lay low for a few years. Maybe leave the country.

What we need now is a modern day "Joseph N. Welch". Someone to stand up to Schiff and his "Blue Scare" tactics in this years long fiasco.

In the case of Senator McCarthy,

What has happened thus far in these proceedings has been an absolute kangaroo court and no consideration has been given to actual rule of law.

Further, I wont engage anyone that upholds this complete sham of a proceeding. If you believe what is happening right now in our Congress is correct and lawful then in my estimation as much as it pains me to say it is exactly how the NAZI party was able to take hold and press it's influence.

The German people never embraced that party but through deception and corporate law they could navigate after false narratives EXACTLY like this, they wrestled enough power to launch the assault on the rest of the world.

How they ever called her as an expert is beyond me. The reasons why are so obvious and it extends to their other 2 "experts".

They have all been tied to heavy democrat backing and fundraising, some of the the links between the money and the experts is so egregious, it's downright terrifying because they just don't give a fu$#.

This is what happens when the Legislative branch has an agenda and decides to skip the judicial branch and run a coup. There are so quick to talk about checks and balances well......... When there is a dispute between legislative and executive what do you do?

Send it to the Supreme Court.

This has been an absolute nightmare! I'm glad we have people fighting the good fight against the evil Dems.

When people are faced with facts and choose to ignore them and embrace hatred for our President and anyone who follows him, that blows my mind. I wish the media could be held accountable for years of lies and false narratives.

I can't wait for Barr and Durham to come forward with all they have uncovered.

So far this week, Joe Biden says he won't cooperate with any request to testify in a Senate Impeachment Trial.

And the Intel Community Inspector General (one of the Whistle Blower's handlers) says he won't either.

NO I don't particularly like many of his policies and I also lean to the left - But, if you watch what is going on with the
Democrats inability to choose a leader for President that would stand to beat Donald Trump, watched the Democratic Partly go from the reasonable left wing of say a John F. Kennedy to a crazy Socialist fueled race to the left with a billionaire, no real political affiliation, Mke Bloomberg atttempting to literally buy the Presidency for his own objectives
and now calling himself a Democrat.

- Yuu can see the desperation of the Democrats to stop Donald Trump - NO matter how flimsy the evidence against him.

Oh, and yes, he might have done something wrong in his conversation with the Ukraine BUT anyone who has listened to
Donald Trump since he first decided to get into politics knows - Thats the way he is - He is not an intellectual type
thinker and does tend to say things that make him look bad - He is a businessman first - And being President of the
United States is in fact a tough business. - He had every damn right to question Biden in the Ukraine if he believed
Biden was not on the up and up - Did it also benefit him politically? Apparently not and even if it did........

BUT THERE IS NO LAW THAT SAYS A PRESIDENT CAN NOT BENEFIT HIMSELF POLITICALLY JUST BECAUSE HE IS THE
PRESIDENT - And that is what the Democrats are trying to say !!!

Democrats calling Donald Trump corrupt? - The impeachment motion against him appears to be what is corrupt
- the attempt to remove a sitting President because he may have made a trivial mistake, is in fact undermining
the security of the United States - And the Democrats [and who knows who else] behind it should be censured and
possibly charged with sedition.

If you open your eyes to reality can't you see all this is a facade,been evident since elections,no matter what or whom,this media crap goes on,meanwhile the earth is about to repeat history,every 280 yrs or so we are desecrated which explains mass human extinction,as the story we are told maybe a million total wordwide,not 100's of millions,these great buildings in the middle east,So America were not destroyed millions of years ago,as well documented maps show them inhabited and well documented even pictures and discription of people there,with elongated skulls,turn the boob tube off young man reality is going to hit you hard otherwise ,so you aren't scared when the shtf won't be a shock,unfortunately can't change the channel on this one,I have kids and grandkids but all I can do is pass on knowledge

The worst of it is, as Turley (no Trump supporter himself, just painfully intellectually honest) said - It isn't that they couldn't impeach the president, that there might not be some impeachable offense existing. The problem is that they haven't found it and laid out a thoughtful and fully supported case for it under the existing process.

They are in such a rush to do this that they are leaving half the country, at least, behind in the process, and no good will come of that. If the president needs to go, he needs to go, but for obvious reasons, this needs to be a country-wide bi-partisan decision, and it isn't, not even close.

Can any Americans explain to me just why Trump has let this go on so long? Can he not force them to put up or shut up?

She was very calm, easy and clear to understand, and she spoke both eloquently and obviously from a wealth of study/experience in constitutional law. I can understand why that would be considered anathema from someone who supports a president that is the antithesis of those qualities.

I think if the Senate holds a trial, it will be a full process trial with fact witnesses and the defense putting up its side of the case. What we've seen so far has been carefully controlled process designed to present one scripted side and try to convince the country to railroad the president. Absent that, they're hoping to influence the 2020 election by flinging enough carefully constructed poo.

At best right now, people in the country as a whole will remedy this via the ballot box because there just doesn't seem to be a sense that this is something that rises beyond the pale of anything other presidents have done ... I mean is this worse than dropping off pallets of cash in the middle of the desert? Is this bigger than Iran-Contra even?

I listened to them sputter about crucial arms and people dying all day yersterday when their own president only sent blankets and MREs.
