Has anyone here actually been near Groom Lake? Did the guards in the white cars just sit and watch you?

I've been as close as you can be, and flown so that you could actually see groomlake just on the horizon (which is REALLY cutting close to their restricted airspace lol).

But nothing to look at.

It's a facility with some hangers and a dry lake bed = a runway.

That's as far as I know

Since the highly illegal and unconstitutional land grab in the late 90s, it is impossible to get within view of Area 51. If you approach the perimeter fence, the Camo Dudes in Hummers will shadow you every inch of the way... for about 15 minutes until the local Sherriff shows up to oust you, or arrest you if you dont oust in the first 10 seconds.

Also, if you have a camera on your, you DO NOT leave with your film, tape, or flash disk.

The perimeter is covered by IR and seismic sensors that are capable to detecting a single human at 1000 meters, and the seismic can detect a human footstep at 500 meters... try getting a vehicle in.

If you manage to penetrate the perimeter, you will likely never be seen again, and end up in an unmarked grave.

Thanx for the comforting story dragonrider.

I'd like to get as close as possible. Just to say I had been there.

As I understand most of the hardware (X Craft) have been relocated to a similar base in Wyoming, and another in Alaska near Elmendorf AFB.

Do the men in the white van just stare at you? Did you wave to them?

I am curious FM, when was this that you flew so close to Area 51? What kind of aircraft were you on? Under whose authority?

The reason I ask is because since 1988 the USAF annexed 94,000 acres of land (which is illegal as by federal law, any land acquisition over 50,000 acres requires congressional approval, which was NOT obtained for this land grab) surrounding the Nellis Air Range, which already sits on 2.9 million acres.

The entire point of this land annex was to obtain Freedom Ridge, which was the most visually advantageous point from which to observe Area 51 with telephoto lens cameras.

www.noveltynet.org...

In addition to this, according to a USAF environmental contact who has worked at Area 51, they maintain airspace restriction radius of an additional 75 miles beyond the land perimeter. If an aircraft approaches within a 25 mile buffer of this restriction, they are warned off by air traffic control, and then escorted out by fighter. Penetration of the 75 mile limit results in the aircraft shootdown without hesitation, from a number of interceptor fighters stationed there, as well as numerous anti-aircraft positions located along the perimeter.

So what you are saying is that all of the land was obtained illegaly. Why where they not sued? This is the kind of stuff people need to fight for. There is 100% proof that the land was obtained illegaly so the government can not find any way of proving that it was legal.

Also dragonrider if you read this post i send you a u2u about area 51.

I would love to go to the area and take some pictures. But I would probably get arrested for trespassing.

A current military ID card will get you on most military installations and retired military members can as well.
Not certain for dependents.

I SERIOUSLY doubt that a normal military ID card will get you into a Top Secret Clearance facility unless you have specific and verified orders to be there.

Check out this page I wrote about Groom Lake, pretty explanatory:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

Every weekday morning, at least 500 people arrive at the guarded terminal owned by EG&G on the northwest side of McCarran Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada. Here they board one of a small fleet of unmarked Boeing 737-200s. Using three digit numbers prefixed by the word "Janet" as their callsigns, the 737s fly off North every half hour.

Their destination is Groom Lake, also known as Area 51, an installation so secret, its existence is denied by the government agencies and contractors that have connections there. By late 1955, the facility had been completed for flight testing of Lockheed's U-2 spyplane. Since that time, Groom Lake has undergone vast expansion, catering to the needs of testing the most advanced aircraft projects in the world. Forty-four years after it was created, Groom Lake has hosted flight testing of the aforementioned Lockheed U-2, the SR-71 Blackbird, the F-117 stealth fighter, Northrop's B-2 stealth bomber, the mysterious Aurora Project, and possibly even alien spacecraft.

ok, these people have to come from somewhere right? a home. a house. a box, whatever have you. would it not be easier, to follow these people home, get into their house, and wax them for info, or at least raid the hell out of their house, and bug their clothing or something? pay attention to the obvious and possible.
