The Soviet Union lost 26 million people fighting the Nazis and their allies. Including 15 million civiliains slaughtered as part of Generalplan Ost. 90% of Axis losses in Europe were on the Eastern Front.

Their sacrifice is all but forgotten in the West.

Even less is said about the 20 million Chinese who died fighting or were murdered by the Japanese.

What's unwinnable?

Peace, in the middle east. Unless you're santa reigning down presents.

the middle east can be won, and peace can reign

But NO ONE has the stomach to do what needs doing to get there.

that is all.

We'd be the evil ones regardless, that's the rub..

forcing things, etc etc as always claimed.. If you win, you lose.

I'd rather we not be in those areas at all.

But we are there. We have allies that helped us capture ISIS fighters and are jailing them.

Walking away from those allies leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I agree with you that we shouldn't be fighting other peoples wars either.

That could be true. Don't get me wrong I am a supporter of Trump, even if I'm not an American and putting aside the whole Diplomatic immunity issue we're having with an American refusing to return to the UK for killing someone in an apparent accident, I just have moments when I think "Do you really wanna do that?" lol.
