twitter.com...

Just WOW - pandering to one persons feelings about a sporting tradition has led to political correctness of epic proportions and in my opinion is a snapshot of a much larger movement permeating American culture and values.

Why do Americans pander to weak-minded individuals whose emotions and feelings now appear to take precedent over large sections of the population?

Its like a cross between socialism - fascism - communism is now the new movement where one persons opinion is of more value than 1 million opinions.

Pathetic

I get your general point, but this is not being done by the government (which is the most frequent enemy of freedom), and even though corporations can limit our freedoms this decision does not inhibit my ability to do anything. There are other actions by other corporations that might, but this is not one of them.

Also those three ideologies (fascism, socialism, communism) are essentially the same. In practice in any case.

The only thing on that field that is offensive is calling whatever they are doing baseball.

You're more likely to see a triple play than a sacrifice bunt..

But as for the chop....
Suck it up ya fricken cupcake..

In today's day and age, you must show how virtuous you are by being offended on behalf of those who don't even know they are offended.

Any bets on the ethnic background on the Cards player?

So that's fine. It doesn't matter if Lumenari is NA. Other NAs might still be offended, and you are protecting them by being woke.

Well, I know in Australia aboriginals are legally allowed to commit brutal acts of animal cruelty, which would see any non aboriginal charged by the police, under the pretense of it being "traditional hunting".

So, to answer to your question, I'm guessing the answer is yes... Just so long as you emphasize that your native and its part of your tradition.

When I was a kid in the early 80s going to Braves games (back when they sucked... Phil Neikro days). They used to have a giant freaking TeePee and a Indian Chief called "Chief NokAHoma"! Of course, that wouldn't fly today....

Welcome to the era of the Functional Retard (FR) where fact is replaced by imagination and opinion, so long as it's the same as the FRs, is in fact law.

At K-State we had a slogan EMAW (Every Man A Wildcat). It was tradition, but it had nearly all faded out except for the band spelling it out on the field prior to football games.

Then some disgruntled feminist SJW student got her panties in a bunch and wrote a column about how offensive and non-inclusive it was to the student paper. Then the AD decided he better get "woke" and tried to change it to make more inclusive. Suddenly, the place was saturated with EPAW (Every Person A Wildcat). Naturally, we all hated it.

At that point, EMAW never was more popular. And it remains extremely popular to this day with women all over the K-State nation proudly wearing EMAW shirts.

I think the Vet College kept EPAW though. It made sense for them, and we do have a new AD too.

They gave up 10 runs in the first inning to the Cards in the deciding Game 5 right now. Somehow I think tomahawks and offending indians are at the bottom of my beloved Braves' list of concerns.
