You'd think someone as rich and criminally inclined as he is wouldn't keep hiring crappy lawyers.

Legal career Gowdy clerked for John P. Gardner on the South Carolina Court of Appeals as well as for federal judge George Ross Anderson Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina. He then went into private practice at Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough[7] in Greenville, South Carolina before being appointed an Assistant United States Attorney in April 1994. Gowdy would later be awarded the Postal Inspector's Award for the successful prosecution of J. Mark Allen, one of "America's Most Wanted" suspects. In February 2000, he left the United States Attorney's Office to run for 7th Circuit Solicitor. He defeated incumbent Solicitor Holman Gossett[15] in the Republican primary. He ran unopposed in the general election. Gowdy was re-elected in 2004 and 2008, both times unopposed. During his tenure, he appeared in four[16] episodes of the television program Forensic Files, as well as Dateline NBC and SCETV.[17] He prosecuted the full set of criminal cases, including seven death penalty cases.

Ha...this is the dems worst nightmare.
This was called a long time ago here too...that Gowdy was going to step down to join Trump at a later date.
In May 2018, Gowdy challenged President Trump's unsubstantiated conspiracy theory that the FBI had spiedon his 2016 presidential campaign.[30] As a result of this, Gowdy was attacked by various Trump allies, and Politico reported that Gowdy was "virtually alone, getting little support from his House colleagues."[30] In June 2018, Speaker Paul Ryan came out in support of Gowdy, saying that Gowdy's assessment was "accurate".[40]
At a July 2018 congressional hearing, Gowdy suggested impropriety on behalf of FBI agent Peter Strzok and said that Strzok had shown bias in favor of Hillary Clinton and against Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential election and that this shaped his work for the FBI.[41] During the hearing, Gowdy repeatedly pressed Strzok about a text message in which Strzok said "we'll stop Trump".[41]

Yeah I assume he's talking about Cohen, but when it comes to bad lawyers the Dems really do not want to go there.
Or I might be forced to point out which members here on ATS were drooling over Michael Avenatti -- before he was arrested for scamming his clients. (And as a bonus, Republicans just sent a letter to the DOJ asking when they plan to indict Avenatti over the Kavenaugh hearings nonsense.)

I hope this is true. I love Trey Gowdy! I love watching him in action. He knows his stuff and makes the other side look stupid. Lol

From what I have read, the WB's attorneys are no better than Avenatti....basically ambulance chasers that have been tweeting offers of cut rates and prices specifically for whistleblowers over the last couple years...

I thought trump was bad at business and not actually wealthy? I keep hearing that on this website at least, I'm confused is he a bad businessman or a wealthy one? What crimes has the president been convicted of? Besides winning the election against Hillary? We all know that was a treasonous crime.
