James Le Mesurier, White Helmets co-founder, discovered dead in Turkey

A former British Army officer honoured by the Queen for his work with the White Helmets civil defence group in Syria has been found dead in Turkey.

The body of James Le Mesurier, who received an OBE in 2016, was discovered on Monday near his home in Istanbul, White Helmet sources told the BBC.

Mr Le Mesurier's body was found at about 04:30 local time (01:30 GMT) on the street near his home and office in Istanbul's Beyoglu district on the European side of the city.

Reports in Turkish media say his body was discovered with fractures to his legs.

Mr Le Mesurier, who was believed to be in his 40s at the time of his death and had also worked for the United Nations, was considered a co-founder of the White Helmets.

The Russian foreign ministry tweeted about Mr Le Mesurier last week, alleging that he was a former agent of the UK's Secret Intelligence Service, better known as MI6.

Now here's an interesting twist... you've heard of the fake names Ciaramella and Occhionero? Well Le Mesurier in the UK is synonymous with John Le Mesurier - famous for his role as the genteel sergeant in "Dad's Army", a TV show about the British Home Guard during WWII.

I figured out a long time ago that the White Helmets were Western intelligence agents. The key was noticing that they only operate in Rebel-held area of Syria. You never ever saw them in areas held by the Syrian government or the Kurds.

Anyway, it sounds to me like the White Helmets have officially outlived their usefullness, so their leader has been liquidated. Because if he was captured, he could reveal that they were an MI6 op.

I wonder if this mean the Western powers are finally "writing off" the Syrian conflict as a lost cause.

The media has been reporting that Trump was booed at the LSU game over the weekend. Rush just played a 50-second clip in which the stadium was cheering and chanting "USA! USA!" He said the cheering and chanting went on much longer.

How anyone can continue to give anyone in the media any credibility when they lie so blatantly is beyond me.
