We had a secret society ghost finder group when I was in high school. We went looking to find what was secret and try to expose them in the Highschool Newspaper. The only thing I came close to exploring is the Masonic Eye and the psychic symbol with it as the mind's 3rd eye. Not so secret it turns out for those who already know.

Obviously, the Tasmanian Tiger didn't go extinct. I am not so sure other Cryptids are Classified for their Protection though. Genetics are likely the Gold and Oil type Currency in the Universe. Probably Bigfoot have Antigens for snakes and cancer and all kind of applications to humans. Their DNA could be a GoldMine for Pharma. We don't even know.
