Tool album leaked by redditor

It's not uncommon for those of us who can't stand to wait for what we want, to resort to ... at times unsavory lengths.
I mean, its already been 13 years since Tools last masterpiece, what's a few more days...right?

Well, one Redditor went to great lengths to fulfill his one and only purpose on this earth.

That purpose being, the person who supplied the new Tool album to a couple of eager gents in a hotel in Vegas, so the entire waiting world,
could feed their ears and minds with the new melodic sounds of Fear Inoculum.
But other events unfolded...

The new album can be found all over online.

But check out this break down from some dude on the internet, explaining how it all went down.

Then dig it up and listen.... but make sure you buy it when it officially comes out.

Found this bit about new album with some interesting details. Stokes the fire of anticipation for sure.

ETA: This will be the first cd I have bought in over 10 years and I want it for the package and artware as well as music. I'll have to dust off the ole external cd player.

I'm listening to it right now, and I'm really, really, feeling it.

They have a few noticeable odd uses for percussion instruments in a few songs.
But it all works.
13 years?
Ya, I guess it was worth it.

Its NOT Lateralus, but its still damn good.

I'm generally happy to watch and listen to movies or music for free.
But I'll definitely support Tool by purchasing their new album once it's available.

Yeah I’m not gonna look for the leaked album. I’ve waited 13 years, I can wait a couple more days. I have too much respect for the band. Literally any other band or performer I wouldn’t care less. But I’m gonna give this one their due respect.

I was following the Reddit story in real time, while it was happening. Was pretty exiting.
I was there man!!

Anywho, I justified the leak given my bank account had alrady been charged for my CD. Still have 3 more tracks and an awesome package to look forward to , so I don’t feel like I preemptively blew my load.

If you’re a tool fan like me and think they have only gotten better with each album, there is a lot to love about this album.

There are no “singles”, and nothing close to a pop song even a “Eulogy”... it’s that far out there.

As with anything that has a rabid fan base, there will be plenty of complaints and haters.

I’m pretty happy with it.

Soak it up. This is probably the last time we’ll ever get to celebrate a new tool album.

already have my pre order in but I am going to go find the leaked album now...

At least I'm not alone in thinking that this guy represents every bit of humanity that needs to be flushed down the toilet.

Waited years to go digital, for some C***************************************************k to do this, 2 days before release.

Even "bad" TOOL is infinitely better than anything else out there. That's just a fact. And I can't find the leaked tracks. Can anyone offer some help?

These guys deserve it.

This entire album can be played as one really long song.

After listening to the entire album 3 times today while in the office,
I have to admit the title track is my favourite.
Followed by invincible and then descending.

Perhaps because those songs have been out for awhile now and have grown on me.

Side note; the link does not provide the 3 instrumentals included as digital downloads.
Use that as a reason to buy the officials release because they are damn good.
And yes it’s only 7 songs. But they are each 10+ min.

Its a good album but feels like death throes to me...

Hey, anyone get their CD yet? It's the trippiest thing I've ever seen, you open the CD binder and a video plays inside. Like there is a small computer screen in there and it just starts automatically.

Anyone ever done anything like this before?

Ya I just picked it up like an hour ago.
And just NOW realized it had the charger cord in there as well.
I was looking at the port thinking I don’t even have a cable that will fit this.
Then my daughter noticed the hole in the side.
Sure enough deep in the back was the cord.

What design case did you get?

Mines the double inverted triangle, with eyes in each corner and 4 circles in the centre..
The dude at the record store said There are 3 or 4 different ones apparently.

I only saw 2 different ones.

As for anyone else ever doing this, I’ve never heard of it being done.
But that’s just like Tool.
Always Pushing the known limits.
