I’ll give some credit where it’s due
Back in Mo’s day a lot of Islamic laws made sense
No booze or drugs, Arab’s were constantly intoxicated
4 wives allowed, huge numbers of men killed in wars meant there were an excess of women and it also promoted the idea of going to war to get extra women
No pork, no refrigeration and a poor understanding of hygiene in that climate meant disease was rife
Pray 5 times a day, before prayers all Muslims are forced to cleanse themselves and it was the only way to get them to wash
The list goes on

In its time it was a good thing, now it’s just outdated at best and barbaric at worst

I don't really have an issue with polygamy. What consenting adults do is none of my business. I don't know how one can support gay marriage, but then also be against polygamy.

Men are hardwired to sleep with as many women as possible. Women are hardwired to seek out men who are protectors and have resources. Biological facts.

The only issues I've seen with polygamy is that in some communities (think Mormons), they have an issue with elder men pushing out young boys who might be considered competitors for the women.

According to this Wikipedia entry, he had around 13 wives. He was married to eleven of them simultaneously if I am reading it correctly.

Your all losing sight of the post. It aint about having more than one wife, it's about ALL wives and women losing their autonomy, their choices etc. to a male dominated, sharia ruled area. While Indonesia is accepting this annex of their country just think that this is exactly why the Rohinga were kicked out of Myanmar. Not because they were Rohinga but because they were Muslim and wanted Northern Myanmar as a Muslim state with Sharia law. The Myanmar would not stand for that. So when you see the MSM moaning about Rohinga persecution you'll know what it's about.

Are you aware that as recent as 2001 that an American Male over the age of 21 to 34 legally married a 10 year old ? And it's not just a one time occurrence, 3 10 year old females were married that year. Or that a 74 year old man legally married a 14 year old girl ? The same year an 11 year old Male was allowed to legally marry a 31 year old female.

Some changes were made by most states in 2017 but 18 states still have no age restrictions regarding minors being married. A simple permission slip from a parent is all that is required.
