Modern Christian fanatics forget that Rome was at war with the Jews, that Jerusalem was sacked by the Romans, and was under Roman Law and control...............much like the USA does to Middle East countries now.

Who haven't the Jews been at war with? The Old Testament is filled with stories of the Jews sinning and being taken as slaves. In the Old Testament, God brought them out of slavery from Egypt and revived them. Such is their entire history and the continued story throughout the entire Bible, not just the New Testament.

Yet, just as the Bible says, no matter what happens to them, they will survive. Considering how small Israel is and the fact that they're surrounded by Muslim nations, you have to ask yourself how they have managed to survive throughout the centuries. It's all biblical. It will happen again. The Bible even tells us that we'll be nearing the end when Jerusalem becomes a burdensome stone for the whole world. Ever wonder why even the U.N. and the whole world is so obsessed with whether or not to split up the city? The Bible is a road map and testimony to everything we're witnessing today in the Middle East and will continue to be.

-1st century Jewish historial Flavius Josephus who wrote “Jewish Antiquities” notes references to Jesus. Written 93-94 AD, approx.. Gives 2 references to Jesus and a reference to John the Baptist. Excerpt: “Jesus the Messiah was a wise teacher who was crucified by Pilate, called the Testoimonium Flavianum.

-Tacitus notes Jesus’ execution by Pontius Pilate in “Annals of Imperial Rome” (a first century history of the Roman Empire, written approx. 116 A.D., author Tacitus, a Roman senator and historian.

- Pliny the Younger wrote to Emperor Trajan that early Christians would “sing hymns to Christ as to a god”.

- Suetonius, a Roman historian, references Jesus when he records that Emperor Claudius had expelled Jews from Rome. He wrote, “Jews were making constant disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus”.

- references to Jesus in the Babylonian Talmud, written approx. 70 – 200, “On the eve of the Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald ... cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy." Hanged can also mean (synonym) crucified.

- Lucian of Samosata, a 2nd century Greek satirist. He wrote, “The Christians ... worship a man to this day – the distinguished personage who introduced their novel rites, and was crucified on that account.... [It] was impressed on them by their original lawgiver that they are all brothers, from the moment that they are converted, and deny the gods of Greece, and worship the crucified sage, and live after his laws.”

I've always thought it funny that for someone who would have been arguably the most important person to ever exist in the entirety of human history, someone who was so important that his words were supposedly remembered verbatim and passed along over hundreds of years, nobody knows when he was born.

The date of birth of Jesus is not stated in the gospels or in any historical reference, but most theologians assume a date of birth between 6 BC and 4 BC.

Jesus did not want to be worshiped. The false gods being worshiped had their birthdays as important dates.

Luke 4:8 New International Version (NIV)
8 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve him only.

Someday a revelation will take place and all of the missing (hidden) information will come out.

Roman empire split East n West, east the cost of wars was cheaper for bible, New testament created by the Flavians with stories from the empire. Bible was Greek remember and translated. If you climb Mnt Sinia there is a Greek Othodox church there. Why.. because it precedes the Romans and they took over from the Egypians. It is historical passed down and modified to fit any modern time. The flood story is like 8000+ years old the Sumerians. Their god Enki supposed created mana as his work force, slaves. I was in Rome 1st week of 2019 and the Catacombs. Did you know the first 8 popes were Greek and buried outside the city as Romans were Pagan. There crypts still in the catacombs with image of Greek Christo.. the new Christ to sell to the world. 25DEC is Pagan ceremony, the Soltice and planting crops. They had beaten the Jewish uprising and on monuments the celebration. So a combination of old testament back to Sumerians, the greeks who had Christos as there theoretical savior became Christ. The roman bible was back dated so people reading it thought great predications.. they came true. Works when you know the outcome first. Roman wanted the Caesars to be worshipped in their holy places... and better sell to make the savior Jewish. Good scam.

What historical record did you mean ?

Recorded history or written history is a historical narrative based on a written record or other documented communication. It contrasts with other narratives of the past, such as mythological, oral or archeological traditions.
en.wikipedia.org...
The historical record that mentions his contemporaries but not the guy who created all the fuss.

ROFLMAO!
Your quoting Wikipedia as a historical record! Your logic lines up with Sander/AOC's Democratic nonsense. Next you"ll be including Snopes and Sashafail as historical narrative based on a written record too. You have sunken to a new low.

Lots of prophets back then. He could have existed, or could have been a combination of stories of several prophets and other former religions which I believe is the case. Many recurring themes with Greek deities and Christianity. The King James Bible further altered the story. Once the prophet is dead the story can really start getting creative.

The wiki reference was simply a definition of "recorded history", not of facts relevant to the discussion.....

That makes your comment ridiculous.

And Yet there are MANY highly learned men and Women who have had access to our oldest known texts who believe after their own study..

The mathematical and scientific discoveries of Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727) are astronomical. Some of the most notable of his achievements include the invention of calculus, the discovery of the laws of motion and the law of gravitation, and the construction of the first reflecting telescope.

He also was a man known for his Christian faith. He spent a great portion of his time studying the Bible with a special interest in prophecy. Following are some of his quotations.

On atheism:
"Atheism is so senseless. When I look at the solar system. I see the earth at the right distance from the sun to receive the proper amounts of heat and light. This did not happen by chance."

Jesus IS Lord and Savior, the King of kings! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

He is the Son of God, made flesh.
He died on the cross for the atonement of our sins, if you don’t reject Him, so repent!
He was buried, but then He rose from the dead on the third day, and was witnessed by many.
He ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father until He comes again.

Interesting theory , it would probably explain why there's no mention of Jesus in the historical record.

You talking about the one made by the monk or the maths genius Fomenko?

A lot of false Prophets today to, but you don't see the world rise up and follow them. The best seller of all history time will bring more information I just hope it will not be to late for people to switch sides.

The Dead Sea Scrolls verified the texts. We don't see men giving their lives up to copy and store the words of the numerous false prophets. Something major is different and drives the belief in Jesus and his message.

Even if you’re not religious, there’s no denying the enormous - and sometimes devastating - influence that the Bible as an historic text has had on the world over the past 3,000 years. And yet, when it comes to the most widely distributed book on the planet, we still can’t agree on who wrote it, and when.

So a bunch of mathematicians teamed up with archaeologists to shed a bit of light on the origins of the Bible, by using artificial intelligence to come up with an estimate of how many people could read and write during certain periods in ancient history.

The researchers are now working on developing even more tools to glean what they can from ancient texts, and it’s hoped that with more evidence, we can piece together the beginnings of the best-selling book on Earth. "We’re bringing new evidence to the game," says Shaus. "Now, we’ll see what else comes out." The results have been published in Proceedings of the National Academies of Sciences.

But not a single one during his lifetime? The dude, supposedly, performed miracles at will. One would think there would be actual first hand accounts, rather than rumors, and third party documents recorded after the fact.

Many books have been written about Star Trek as well. Does that mean Spock was a real person?

Just for the record, I am not an atheist, but your reasoning is not sound, and lacks critical thinking.

Scientists have finally been able to read the oldest biblical text ever found.

The 2,000-year-old scroll has been in the hands of archaeologists for decades. But it hasn’t been possible to read it, since it was too dangerous to open the charred and brittle scroll.

Scientists have now been able to read it, using special imaging technology that can look into what’s inside. And it has found what was in there: the earliest evidence of a biblical text in its standardised form.

The passages, which come from the Book of Leviticus, show the first physical evidence of a long-held belief that the Hebrew Bible that’s in use today has is more than 2,000 years old.

Researchers hope to use the technology to peek inside other ancient documents too fragile to unwrap, like some of the Dead Sea Scrolls and papyrus scrolls carbonized in the Mt. Vesuvius volcano eruption in 79 CE. Researchers believe the technology could also be applied to the fields of forensics, intelligence, and antiquities conservation.

The text discovered in the charred Ein Gedi scroll is "100 percent identical" to the version of the Book of Leviticus that has been in use for centuries, said Dead Sea Scroll scholar Emmanuel Tov from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, who participated in the study. "This is quite amazing for us," he said. "In 2,000 years, this text has not changed."

This is a fairly solid theory but mainstream academia doesn’t find it necessary...

What I mean by that it that the Romans killed SOOOO many Jews and created SUCH a religious bottle neck, that a kinder, gentler Judaism could have sprung up naturally..

The romans killed all the militant ones and destroyed the vast majority of their texts..

So only the more passive Jews survived..

2) that said it works homies way too, but there just isn’t enough evidence to go rewriting history over a theory that fits, but there isn’t evidence for.

Someday there will be a revelation. Maybe a lot of the information is hidden in the vatican. we are supposed to ask and it will be opened to us, so your heart knows the truth through the holy spirit if you ask in the correct humble way and mean it! Only after the ones who believe by faith have been gathered will the "proof" be opened to see.

But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge."

More and more of these places are being found and they are agreed to be what they are by all religions and non religous scholars. History will be coming to light.

Archaeologists have found a secret passageway where early Christians used to hide to escape Roman persecution. Islamic State militants once occupied Manbij, Syria, where this hiding place was discovered, never realizing they had a relic of ancient Christendom in their possession.

Didn't work. Jews got him killed. What a dumb theory.

The Sanhedrin judged him, after he was accused of claiming to be "the" son of god. Not all jews were against him as evidenced (according to the Bible ) by the fact that a large portion of his following were Jews.

Definition of Sanhedrin. : the supreme council and tribunal of the Jews during postexilic times headed by a High Priest and having religious, civil, and criminal jurisdiction.
